Reporting to the Head of Zero Harm Performance and Assurance, you’ll help deliver measurable improvements in health, safety and wellbeing outcomes.\nWhat You’ll Do\nThis role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:\nGovern the portfolio of Zero Harm improvement initiatives, aligning programs with business objectives and measurable outcomes.\n\nAnalyse Zero Harm performance data and produce strategic reporting, insights and recommendations for business leaders.\n\nLead safety improvement programs focused on injury reduction, critical controls and continuous improvement.\n\nDevelop performance frameworks, dashboards, training content and communication materials that support behavioural change.\n\nBuild capability and collaborate with leaders, Zero Harm teams, operational personnel and external partners to deliver effective solutions\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\nFormal health and safety qualifications and advanced capability in safety management system review, design and development.\n\nA minimum of five years’ practical experience in a similar role.\n\nAdvanced experience in program governance, performance measurement, data analysis and statistical interpretation.\n\nDemonstrated ability to translate strategy into actionable programs and lead organisational change across diverse stakeholder groups.\n\nStrong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to present complex insights clearly.\n\nMore than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.\nWhy Downer?\nAt Downer, we plan, create, and sustain essential public services across Australia and New Zealand.
