This role plans, organises and executes production in line with standard operating requirements, delivery accuracy, customer requirements, safety and quality, leading the day-to-day operation of the business unit across the Pretoria operations.\nThe successful candidate will drive output, delivery accuracy, cost control, people performance and SHEQ compliance, working closely with planning, internal sales, quality, engineering, procurement, finance and HR.\nKey Responsibilities\nPlanning: Ensure monthly targets are met from open orders; create and update the master schedule; manage the sales-order life cycle in JDE and schedule shop-floor loading to priorities.\n\nProduction: Deliver product output and delivery accuracy to target and specification; control day-to-day activities; manage inventory and WIP; and reduce scrap and reclaim.\n\nContinuous Improvement: Raise and implement innovations that increase output and reduce scrap, reclaim and lead-times.\n\nFinancial Management: Control operational and manufacturing costs to the annual budget and report monthly.\n\nPeople Management: Plan manpower, train and develop staff, manage performance and adhere to HR and disciplinary policy.\n\nSHEQ Management: Discharge Section 16.2 duties where applicable, eliminate safety risks, ensure OHSA compliance and maintain 5S.\n\nMonitor and reduce overtime.\n\nInvestigate, monitor and report customer incidents weekly.\n\nDrive a visible Zero Harm culture across the operation.\n\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor's degree in engineering, operations management or business administration.\n\nAt least 10 years' relevant operational experience in a similar industry, of which at least 5 years in a production management role.\n\nProduction planning, master scheduling and capacity management (JDE).\n\nWorld-class / lean production methods and cost control.\n\nAdvantageous Requirements\nContinuous-improvement certification, such as Lean Six Sigma.\n\nKnowledge of SHEQ, OHSA and Section 16.2 (where applicable).\n\n5S and operational budgeting experience.\n\nKey Competencies\nAligning performance for success and building a successful team.\n\nCommunication and
