This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a motivated supervisor who is passionate about safety, operational excellence, people leadership, and continuous improvement.\nThis role will be responsible for planning, organising and coordinating personnel, plant, subcontractors and resources to ensure blending and manufacturing activities are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the highest quality standards.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nPlan, coordinate and supervise daily blending and manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards and customer requirements are achieved. \nManage and optimise the utilisation of labour, plant, equipment and subcontractors to maximise operational efficiency and productivity. \nLead, coach and develop team members through effective performance management, training, mentoring and workforce planning. \nMonitor operational performance, budgets and resource allocation to drive cost-effective outcomes and support business objectives. \nBuild and maintain strong relationships with employees, customers, contractors and internal stakeholders, ensuring a high level of communication and service delivery. \nDrive continuous improvement by analysing production and quality performance, implementing improvements and challenging existing processes to enhance safety, efficiency and product quality.\nLead and promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements while driving Zero Harm initiatives. \nABOUT YOU\nMinimum 5 years' experience within bitumen emulsion, asphalt or chemical manufacturing, or related industries. \nDemonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience, ideally within the manufacturing industry. \nStrong planning, organisational and analytical skills. \nExperience managing operational costs and budgets. \nExperience maintaining plant and equipment.\nExcellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to build and maintain effective and inclusive working relationships with internal and external clients.\nSound understanding of safety legislation and risk management practices. \nAbility to identify and resolve product quality issues. \nKnowledge of health and safety procedures and systems with the ability to identify hazards to ensure a safe working environment for our employees.\nDowner is a company that believes people are our greatest asset.
