This position is ideally suited to candidates with experience in asphalt, surfacing, paving or civil construction, particularly across racetracks, airports, major roadworks and specialised pavement projects.\nWorking as part of an experienced project team, you will provide engineering support across the planning and delivery of civil construction activities, with involvement across technical delivery, project controls, quality, commercial and stakeholder management.\nThis role would suit an engineer looking to further develop their project delivery experience within civil construction and specialised pavements.\nThis position will require national travel and can be based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne\nKey responsibilities\nSupport the planning, coordination and delivery of project works.\nMonitor project performance, costs, forecasting and progress against project requirements.\nAssist with project plans covering safety, quality and environmental requirements.\nIdentify and manage project risks, opportunities, materials and resources.\nSupport procurement and management of plant, labour, materials and subcontractors.\nAssist with project valuations, forecasting, tendering and quoting.\nManage project records and support quality and compliance requirements.\nBuild effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.\nActively support Downer’s Zero Harm initiatives. \nWhat you’ll bring\nBachelor of Engineering or equivalent qualification, ideally within Civil Engineering.\nPrevious engineering experience within civil construction or infrastructure.\nStrong project planning, organisational and time-management skills.\nCommercial awareness with exposure to project budgets, forecasting and contracts.\nAbility to interpret technical and contractual requirements.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a project team.\nExperience across asphalt, surfacing, paving, roads or specialised pavement works will be highly regarded. \nDowner is a company that believes people are our greatest asset.
