Reporting to the RF Manager, you will work within a multidisciplinary project team delivering RF site designs for the deployment of 4G and 5G technologies across new and existing telecommunications infrastructure.\nIn this role, you will be responsible for developing RF site designs, ensuring compliance with EME and ACMA requirements, supporting field activities during construction and as built phases, and contributing to the successful delivery of wireless network projects.\nKey responsibilities include:\nPreparing RF site designs including RF plumbing diagrams for 4G and 5G deployments.\nEnsuring all designs comply with EME, ACMA and client requirements. \nCoordinating with project managers, designers, engineers and field teams to deliver projects safely, on time and to specification.\nUndertaking site inspections, design visits, audits and feasibility assessments.\nSupporting commissioning, integration and performance troubleshooting activities.\nMonitoring project progress and providing timely reporting to stakeholders.\nDriving quality outcomes and supporting a culture of Zero Harm.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nTo be successful in this role, you will bring:\nA tertiary qualification in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. \nA minimum of three years' experience in Australian radio network design environments.\nStrong expertise in RF design, RF plumbing diagrams and EME mitigation solutions.\nExtensive knowledge of ARPANSA RPS3 standards, AMTA Base Station Design Guidelines and ACMA requirements.\nExperience using industry tools such as Atoll, Asset, RFNSA, RF Map2, Nearmap, MapInfo and Google Earth.\nKnowledge of Ericsson, Nokia or Huawei RAN environments and performance management tools.\nStrong analytical, problem solving and stakeholder engagement skills.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across cross functional teams. \nThe following will be highly regarded:\nKnowledge of LTE and 5G radio network optimisation techniques.\nExperience with private LTE networks, rail communications, mining, defence, IoT or smart metering environments.\nProgramming or scripting experience using tools such as Python, VBA or SQL.\n\nWhat We Offer\nAt Downer, we provide our people with opportunities to grow their careers while contributing to critical infrastructure projects across Australia.\nYou can expect:\nA collaborative and supportive team environment.\nOpportunities to work on leading telecommunications and wireless technology projects.\nProfessional development and career growth opportunities.\nFlexible and inclusive workplace practices.\nAccess to employee benefits and wellbeing initiatives.\nA strong commitment to safety, quality and innovation.\n\nAbout Energy & Utilities\nDowner's Energy & Utilities business delivers integrated services across the complete asset lifecycle to customers in the telecommunications, power, gas, water and renewable energy sectors.
