Moving beyond the day-to-day supervision of a single crew, you’ll coordinate multiple work fronts and provide leadership and direction to Supervisors, field teams, contractors and subcontractors.\nReporting to the Area Manager, this role will give you greater exposure to operational planning, budgets, performance, client relationships and workforce development. You’ll help translate broader business priorities into practical outcomes in the field while ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an established Supervisor who is ready to broaden their leadership responsibilities and contribute to the overall performance of a regional maintenance operation.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nYou’ll be responsible for:\nLeading and supporting Supervisors and field teams across multiple work fronts\nCoordinating maintenance programs, resources, contractors and subcontractors\nManaging area budgets, expenditure and minor works quotations\nMonitoring operational KPIs, project costs, quality and delivery performance\nCoaching Supervisors and developing capability across the wider team\nBuilding strong relationships with clients, suppliers and local stakeholders\nIdentifying operational risks, resourcing needs and improvement opportunities\nEnsuring works meet safety, environmental, quality and contractual requirements\nChampioning Downer’s Zero Harm culture across all operational activities\nWhat We’re Looking For\nYou may already be working as a Supervisor within civil construction or road maintenance and be ready to take on broader responsibility across multiple teams and work programs.\nYou’ll bring:\nAt least five years’ experience in civil construction, road maintenance or a similar operational environment\nExperience supervising crews and coordinating resources across active work sites\nThe ability to step up and provide leadership to other Supervisors and field teams\nStrong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills\nExposure to budgets, costs, quotations and performance reporting\nConfidence working with clients, contractors and operational stakeholders\nSound knowledge of safety, quality and environmental requirements\nA current Australian C Class Driver’s Licence\nA current White Card\nA Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil
