You'll work closely with Field Managers, engineers, customers and other technicians while building strong relationships and delivering excellent service outcomes.\nKey responsibilities include:\nInstalling, commissioning, servicing and repairing telecommunications equipment and services.\n\nResponding to customer faults and restoration activities within contractual response times.\n\nUndertaking Sky installation and service work.\n\nManaging allocated sites, ensuring quality, compliance and safe work practices are maintained.\n\nCompleting required documentation, records and reporting accurately and on time.\n\nBuilding positive customer relationships and identifying opportunities for additional chargeable works where appropriate.\n\nParticipating in an on-call and callout roster as required.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys variety, problem-solving, working independently and\ntaking ownership of their work while being supported by a leading infrastructure business.\n\nNgāpūkengamatua| What We're Looking For\nWe're looking for a practical, customer-focused technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and puts safety first.\nYou'll bring:\nNZQA Level 3 Telecommunications qualification or equivalent industry experience.\n\nExperience in telecommunications service delivery, maintenance and fault finding.\n\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.\n\nExperience working independently in the field and managing your own workload.\n\nA commitment to Zero Harm and safe work practices.\n\nExcellent communication and customer relationship skills.\n\nThe ability to work collaboratively with customers, technicians and operational teams.\n\nStrong organisational skills and attention to detail.\n\nA full New Zealand Driver Licence.\n\nWillingness to participate in an on-call roster and after-hours fault response.\n\nExperience across customer connections, broadband services, fault restoration, Sky services or wider telecommunications networks will be highly regarded.\nNgāPaingaoteMahi ki Downer | What We Offer\nAt Downer, our people are the key to our success.
