New project. New challenge.\nIf 2027 feels like the right time to make a move, this could be a pretty good way to start it.\nWe’re looking for a Site Supervisor with a strong mechanical and piping background to join our Water team, taking the lead on the mechanical scope of a brownfield sewage treatment plant upgrade.\nThis isn’t a role where you’ll spend your days sitting behind a desk. We want someone who knows mechanical construction, understands what good looks like on site and is comfortable taking ownership of the work in front of them.\nYou’ll ideally bring:\nA mechanical trade background with hands-on knowledge of mechanical equipment and pipework installation\nStrong experience supervising mechanical and piping works on construction projects\nExperience managing subcontractors and holding them accountable for safety, quality and delivery\nPrevious exposure to sewage treatment plants, water infrastructure or other brownfield/process environments\nConfidence coordinating works around other disciplines including civil and electrical\nExperience with pre-starts, SIMOPS, high-risk activities, permits and site-based risk management\nStrong planning skills and the ability to look ahead, spot potential issues and adjust the plan\nA practical, level-headed approach to solving problems when things don’t go exactly to plan\nThe confidence to work with project teams, subcontractors and client operations while keeping communication clear and straightforward. \nYou’ll also need a Construction White Card, open Driver’s Licence, relevant Trade Certificate, current First Aid, Working at Heights, Confined Space and Gas Test Atmospheres. Dogging and Rigging, Forklift, Telehandler and EWP tickets would be well regarded.\nOur Organisation\nDowner's Energy & Utilities business unit is an integrated Trans-Tasman team, providing services and solutions that connect communities to essential networks and infrastructure.
