This role plays a pivotal part in the pre-commissioning and commissioning of Zone Substations, Transmissions Substations and Utility owned Data Centre Substations across regional Vic, Metro Melbourne, and surrounding areas.\nYou’ll work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant testing on both Greenfield and Brownfield infrastructure projects.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive remuneration package + TOTV with a prominent ASX-listed organisation\nA highly supportive, team-oriented environment with strong resource backing\nClear career pathways and growth opportunities within the Utilities business, supported by a robust Commercial Operating Model\nAccess to a wide range of excellent employee benefits\nKey Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\nEnsuring primary and secondary protection, controls and SCADA systems operate as per drawings and setting files\nPerforming secondary systems commissioning on Greenfield and Brownfield sites\nTesting and commissioning secondary systems, SCADA, RTU, and associated equipment\nConducting fault finding and implementing system upgrades\nPerforming secondary testing on CTs, VTs, circuit breakers, and other HV equipment\nConducting secondary injection testing across a wide range of protection schemes, including Transformer, cable, overcurrent, earth fault, differential, and distance protection systems.\nAbout You\nHold an Advanced Diploma inPower Systems or Electrical Engineering\n2 to 5 years of relevant experience in HV protection and control testing\nProven experience working in high-voltage switchyards and substations\nStrong fault-finding skills and deep knowledge of both primary and secondary systems\nSound knowledge of SCADA, RTUs, and related control systems\nDemonstrated experience with commissioning processes on HV infrastructure\nPractical experience using test equipment such as: OMICRON, Doble, Megger, or equivalent platforms\nAbility to read and interpret schematic and wiring diagrams\nStrong computer literacy and technical documentation skills\nExcellent communication, self-management, and customer liaison abilities\nProven ability to work autonomously and as part of a site-based team\nWhy Join Us?\nThis is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering essential infrastructure across Vic.
