You’ll work closely with our Operations Manager and Delivery Manager to deliver programmes of work, optimise resources, and maintain strong customer relationships.\nThis is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive quality, productivity and Zero Harm performance across your team.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nLead, support and mentor surfacing crews, ensuring strong team culture and high performance.\n\nOversee day-to-day surfacing operations, including chip stockpiling, QA processes, and audits.\n\nWork with delivery teams to programme and execute workflows effectively.\n\nTrack project financials, including actual vs target cost estimates.\n\nEnsure all QA documentation, ITPs and as-builts are completed accurately.\n\nMaintain excellent customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.\n\nDrive Zero Harm by promoting safe, responsible behaviour and ensuring compliance.\n\nCoordinate plant, people and resources for optimal utilisation.\n\nImportant Skills | Nga Pūkenga Matua\nWe’re looking for someone who brings both technical surfacing knowledge and the ability to lead and inspire a team.\nA strong background in surfacing/sealing operations.\n\nProven experience supervising teams in roading or civil construction.\n\nKnowledge of surfacing specifications, QA procedures and audits.\n\nStrong planning and organisational skills.\n\nEffective communication skills, both verbal and written.\n\nComputer literacy and the ability to track and report on performance.\n\nA Class 1 driver licence.\n\nMe pēhea ki te tono | How to apply\nIf this sounds like the opportunity for you, click Apply Now to submit your application!
