This position helps ensure that building systems, production-support equipment, utilities, and grounds remain safe, reliable, and operational.\nThe Facilities Maintenance Technician works independently on routine and moderately complex assignments, responds to work orders and facility emergencies, and escalates significant concerns or specialized repairs to the Facilities Manager.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems, equipment, utilities, and building components.\nInspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, lighting, and general building systems within the employee’s training and authorization.\nComplete scheduled preventive maintenance activities according to established procedures and timelines.\nRespond promptly to work orders, equipment failures, safety concerns, and urgent facility needs.\nDiagnose maintenance problems, determine appropriate corrective actions, and escalate complex or high-risk issues to the Facilities Manager.\nInstall, repair, or replace lighting, outlets, switches, plumbing fixtures, doors, locks, ceiling tiles, hardware, and other facility components.\nMonitor building automation systems, utility systems, alarms, and equipment conditions as assigned.\nConduct routine inspections of mechanical rooms, production areas, offices, grounds, rooftops, and other facility areas.\nAssist contractors and vendors by providing site access, communicating the scope of work, and reporting progress or concerns to the Facilities Manager.\nSupport facility improvement projects, equipment installations, office moves, renovations, and other assigned projects.\nMaintain accurate records of completed work, labor, materials, inspections, equipment conditions, and follow-up needs in the computerized maintenance management system.\nMaintain tools, equipment, replacement parts, and maintenance work areas in a safe, clean, and organized condition.\nIdentify needed parts and supplies and communicate purchasing or inventory needs to the Facilities Manager.\nFollow established safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, hazard communication, personal protective equipment, ladder safety, and electrical-safety requirements.\nImmediately report unsafe conditions, equipment damage, environmental concerns, and potential compliance issues.\nAssist with emergency-response, evacuation, weather-preparation, and business-continuity activities.\nRecommend opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, energy efficiency, and maintenance processes.\nProvide technical assistance to less-experienced maintenance employees when requested.\nParticipate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours facility emergencies when required.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nAt least three years of facility, commercial building, industrial, manufacturing, or related maintenance experience.\nWorking knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and general building-maintenance practices.\nDemonstrated ability to independently diagnose and resolve routine and moderately complex maintenance problems.\nAbility to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, meters, and maintenance diagnostic equipment.\nAbility to read work orders, equipment manuals, safety instructions, diagrams, and basic blueprints or schematics.\nBasic computer skills and experience using email, work-order software, or a computerized maintenance management system.\nStrong organization, time-management, communication, and customer-service skills.\nAbility to prioritize assignments and work independently with limited supervision.\nWillingness to work occasional overtime, weekends, or emergency call-ins.\nValid driver’s license and acceptable driving record if operating company vehicles is required.\nPreferred Qualifications\n2 to 5 years of relevant facility or industrial maintenance experience.\nTechnical school, trade school, apprenticeship, or military technical training.\nEPA Section 608, OSHA 10, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or other relevant certification.\nExperience working in a production, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or other high-volume operational environment.\nExperience with building automation systems, fire and life-safety systems, generators, air compressors, or production-support utilities.\nExperience using a computerized maintenance management system.\nPhysical and Work Requirements\nRegularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, climb, and work in confined or elevated areas.\nFrequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.\nSafely operate ladders, lifts, hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.\nWork indoors and outdoors in environments that may involve noise, dust, temperature changes, moving equipment, mechanical hazards, or other facility-related conditions.\nWear required personal protective equipment.\nBe available for occasional evenings, weekends,
