Headquartered in Bengaluru, India, Dozee has emerged as a leader in this category. We are seeking talented individuals to help us in this very exciting journey. Candidates will be working with top healthcare providers in the country and leverage RPM's innovation to tackle healthcare's biggest challenges - from resource constraints to quality outcomes, to new care models\nRole Overview:\nWe are looking for a Firmware Engineer II who is passionate about embedded systems and enjoys building firmware that runs reliably on real-world devices at scale.\nWe are looking for an engineer who is passionate about embedded systems and enjoys building firmware that runs reliably on real-world devices at scale.\nYour firmware will run on 20,000+ devices deployed in the field, making reliability, maintainability, and careful engineering critical parts of the role.\nYou will be involved across the complete firmware lifecycle designing, developing, testing, debugging, releasing, and maintaining production firmware. You will work on areas including sensor acquisition, RTOS-based systems, connectivity, storage, device communication, and system reliability.\nThis role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working close to hardware, solving complex problems, understanding how systems behave in the field, and taking ownership of their work from development through production.\nWhy This Role Exists\nAs our device fleet and firmware capabilities continue to grow, we need engineers who can build reliable and maintainable firmware while continuing to improve existing systems already deployed in the field.\nFirmware changes can directly impact thousands of devices. This role exists to ensure that new features are designed carefully, tested thoroughly, and built to operate reliably under real-world conditions.\nYou will work on both new development and existing production firmware, helping us improve reliability, add capabilities, investigate field issues, and build better firmware architecture for future products.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware in C\nDevelop firmware for RTOS-based systems\nOwn firmware modules and features from design through production\nDevelop and integrate drivers for sensors and peripherals\nWork with SPI, I²C, UART, GPIO, ADC, timers, and interrupts\nBuild reliable sensor acquisition, processing, and buffering pipelines\nDevelop and debug Wi-Fi and BLE functionality\nImplement device communication and cloud data upload workflows\nWork with Flash, SD cards, NVS, and other storage systems\nDevelop robust error handling, watchdog, logging, and recovery mechanisms\nWork with bootloaders and firmware upgrade/OTA mechanisms\nWrite unit, integration, and hardware-level tests\nDebug firmware and hardware issues using logs and debugging tools\nInvestigate and resolve issues observed on devices deployed in the field\nParticipate in firmware architecture, design, and code reviews\nImprove firmware reliability, maintainability, performance, and observability\nRequirements\n3+ years of experience in embedded firmware development\nStrong programming skills in C\nGood understanding of embedded systems and microcontrollers\nHands-on experience with an RTOS such as Zephyr, FreeRTOS, or similar\nGood understanding of: Tasks/threads and scheduling Interrupts Queues Mutexes and semaphores Synchronization and concurrency\nExperience working with SPI, I²C, UART, GPIO, and interrupts\nExperience developing or integrating device drivers\nStrong understanding of pointers, memory management, bit manipulation, and data structures\nAbility to read datasheets, register maps, and hardware specifications\nExperience debugging hardware and firmware issues\nComfortable working in a Linux development environment\nExperience with Git/Github\nStrong debugging and problem-solving skills\nGood to Have Skills\nExperience with Nordic nRF, ESP32, or STM32 platforms\nExperience with Zephyr RTOS / nRF Connect SDK\nExperience with Wi-Fi and BLE\nUnderstanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and TLS\nExperience with bootloaders and OTA/DFU firmware updates\nFamiliarity with Device Tree and Kconfig\nExperience with Flash, SD cards, NVS, and file systems\nExperience with high-rate sensor data acquisition\nUnderstanding of ring buffers, FIFOs, CRC, and data packetization\nFamiliarity with low-power embedded system design\nPython scripting for firmware testing and development tools\nExposure to firmware CI/CD pipelines\nExperience with long-duration and stress testing of embedded devices\nExperience debugging issues on field-deployed devices","description_format":"text","description_chars":4682,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Medical
