The intern will assist with system conversion activities and other Contract Logistics accounting tasks as assigned while gaining exposure to accounting processes, financial systems, and cross-functional project work.\nAs part of DP World's Summer Internship Program, the Accounting Systems Intern will participate in a structured 10-week experience designed to provide meaningful professional development and exposure to our business.\nIn addition to hands-on experience with the Contract Logistics Accounting team, interns will participate in development and networking opportunities such as leadership fireside chats, social events, and internship projects. Interns will also establish individual goals for the summer, collaborate with colleagues across the organization, and have opportunities to build their professional skills and network throughout the program.\nIMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS\nLocation: Charlotte, NC\nHybrid role: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote\n10-week program: Summer 2027; May 31 to June 6\nDepartment: Accounting\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\nSupport the Contract Logistics Accounting team with the SAP-to-Oracle accounting system conversion\nAssist with testing, data validation, reconciliations, and review of converted accounting information\nHelp identify, research, and document discrepancies or issues identified during conversion and testing activities\nAssist with process documentation and mapping of accounting workflows, as needed\nSupport routine Contract Logistics accounting activities and analyses as assigned\nCollaborate with accounting and project team members to complete assigned conversion activities and deliverables\nPerform other Contract Logistics accounting tasks as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field\nMinimum cumulative GPA of 3.0\nBasic understanding of accounting principles and concepts\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort working with data\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and investigate discrepancies\nEffective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment\nInterest in learning accounting systems and gaining exposure to SAP and Oracle\nPlease note: This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visas.
