Responsibilities span from initial project/ enhancements planning through to final deployment and subsequent transitioning to ongoing production support.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop project objectives including schedules, clearly defined scope, resources, and physical assets required to meet project requirements. Develop timelines and expectations for all elements of a project.\n\nManage cross-functional project teams and stakeholders across the organization and different time zones. Anticipate and proactively manage change throughout the project cycle.\n\nLead the development of various project plans, ensuring alignment of activities and priorities. Provide project status updates and key deliverables.\n\nIdentify and manage risks, determine appropriate courses of action on complex issues while exercising judgment on moderately complex decisions that fall outside standard procedures, practices, and policies.\n\nMaintain ownership of project progress, scope, and budget, and follow proper change management processes to proactively address any deviations from established baseline.\n\nOrganize all IT demand falling into the management area by helping the team sequence their tasks and stay accountable for their respective deliverables for projects, fast-pace enhancements and problems (recurring incidents).\n\nEnsure Canadian IT projects are planned and delivered following PMI best practices as well as DP World Project Management guidelines.\nQualifications, Job Function, Technical Knowledge, and Skills\nA degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, business administration, finance or a related area of study, combined with at least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in capital intensive industries.\n\nIT technical knowledge with a focus on ERP Systems and Maintenance Management Systems (e.g. Oracle Fusion and Maximo)\n\nProven experience in at least three of the following business functions: maintenance, procurement, financial and HR processes.\n\nExperience in project environments that utilize Waterfall and Agile project management frameworks.\n\nExperience in business process design and facilitation of group meetings.\n\nDisciplined and open to new challenges.\n\nAnalytical capabilities, and customer oriented.\n\nExcellent communication and documentation skills.\n\nOrganizational skills and the ability to manage projects/workload in an efficient manner.\n\nAbility to navigate complex organizational structures with minimal supervision.\n\nProblem-solving capabilities, critical thinking and solutions oriented.\n\nStrong leadership with pro-active approach and attention to detail.\n\nFluent in English.\n\nPrevious Canadian work experience or experience working directly with Canadian industries.\nDP World (Canada) Inc. fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging across our organization.
