contractors;\n\nFlexible, open and determined to identify project cost savings at all levels while not compromising project ‘fit-for-purpose’ outcomes;\n\nProject Engineering\nManage day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs project management team meetings where appropriate;\n\nAssist in the acquiring of, consolidation, interfacing and compliance with End User requirements;\n\nManage and/ or develop scopes of work, technical specifications, tender documents and related documentation;\n\nReview designs with respect to ‘Safety in Design’ principles\n\nUndertakes prequalification selections of Vendors, Engineering Consultants and Contractor selections for evaluation;\n\nProvide expert Civil Engineering advice on design, specifications and tender evaluation;\n\nEnsures design and construction complies with appropriate regulations, standards and codes of practice;\n\nManage project scope, changes and variations\n\nMonitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables\n\nPMO Documentation\nDevelop and maintain GPPMD - PMO documentation (*within a PPM system), including:\nMaintain a project Organization Breakdown Structure;\n\nMaintain a Stakeholder Register;\n\nPrepare, maintain and control a project schedule;\n\nCreate and maintain a project assumptions and constraints register;\n\nPrepare, populate, own and review monthly a project risks & issues register;\n\nMaintain a project Change Log;\n\nMaintain monthly project cost reporting;\n\nMaintain weekly and monthly progress reporting;\n\nMaintain a record of lessons learned.\n\nFinancial\nPrepare estimates and detailed project budgets supporting AFE’s for all phases of the project;\n\nMaintain report with GPPMD on the strategy and direction to be implemented on the Projects;\n\nMaintain the GPPMD online Project, Portfolio Management System;\n\nEnsure procurement activities align with business processes;\n\nFully understand and manage all contracts to ensure deliverables meet project objectives;\n\nManage project and program expectations while delegating and managing/ integrating deliverables with project stakeholders;\n\nAssist in dispute resolution, negotiation, arbitration or litigation, as directed by HO PM;\n\nIdentify and communicate risks and issues impacting project objectives;\n\nProvide and implement strategies to control, reduce or eliminate project risks;\n\nFollow up securing of permits, approvals and licences;\n\nAssure proper implementation of QA/QC procedures on the projects; as well as Environmental, Health and safety.\n\nEnsure self and team members always act in a professional manner to ensure integrity of project objectives.\n\nReporting\nProvide status reporting regarding project progress, milestones, deliverables, costs, budgets, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across Strategic/ Tactical/ Implementation teams;\n\nEstablish systems to manage the flow of accurate information provided to project stakeholders.\n\nQualifications, Experience and Skills\nTraining/Qualifications\nBachelors degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering;\n\nPost graduate qualifications in Project Management or related disciplines;\n\nKnowledge of structured Project Management frameworks and methodologies, preferably PMI, PMBOK 6th Ed..\n\nExperience\n10-15 years’ experience in Project Management including the setting up and delivery of project management frameworks from concept to handover;\n\nExperience in managing small to medium sized project management implementation teams;\n\nDemonstrated experience delivering Civil Engineering Infrastructure projects, including large transport, infrastructure and logistics facilities;\n\nManaging civil design, construction standards, consultants, tenders and Australian Standards./ FIDIC forms of contract;\n\nDemonstrated experience of applying civil engineering principles to review, question and challenge concepts, design and application.\n\nSkills/Techniques:\nWell developed technical management skills and experience of Projects;\n\nHigh level scheduling, computer literacy (MS Office, AutoCAD) and report writing skills;\n\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal;\n\nBuilding budgets, monitoring cash flow and costs in professional systems;\n\nHigh level of relationship building and engagement;\n\nTeam approach and recognition of others;\n\nWell developed data analysis skills;\n\nMentoring and
