Role Overview
TheAgile Data Product Owner UAE Data is responsible forthe endtoend ownership of data products supporting UAE market data across International Health (IH). This role applies Agile Product Ownership practices to data and analytics ensuring data is treated as a managed product that delivers trusted actionable insights while adhering toUAEspecific regulatory data residency and privacy requirements.
The Agile Data Product Owner partners closely withAgile Data Product Managers who define product strategyobjectives and roadmapsand withdata engineering analytics and platform teams responsible for delivery. The Product Owner translates business and market needs into a prioritized data backlog ensuring data is ready for consumption across local UAE teams and central D&A functions for exploration analysis reporting and AI enablement.
Critical Data Element (CDE) Accountability:
This role holds direct accountability for the identification stewardship and lifecycle management of Critical Data Elements (CDEs) within the UAE data domain. The Agile Data Product Owner owns CDEs fromcradle to grave ensuring they are clearly defined documented governedmonitoredfor quality fit for purpose and appropriately retired. Through close collaboration with business data owners data governance and technical teams this role ensures CDEs form the foundation of trusted reporting Trusted Data Sets (TDS) regulatory compliance and AIready data products for the UAE market.
Over time the scope of this role may evolve to includeAI product ownership responsibilities ensuring consistent product ownership practices across data and AI initiatives within the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
Data Product Ownership
Own and manage data products supportingUAE market data ensuring alignment with businessobjectives regulatory requirements and analytical needs.
Translate business and market requirements intoclear prioritized backlog items aligned with Product Managerdefined roadmaps.
Ensure data products support secure governed access to data for exploration analysis reporting and insight generation.
Backlog & Agile Delivery
Maintain and prioritize thedatarelated backlog for delivery teams using Agile practices.
Participate in and support agile ceremonies including backlog refinement sprint planning reviews and retrospectives.
Drive continuous improvement in delivery quality speed and value realization.
Critical Data Elements (CDE) Ownership
Identify steward and manage Critical Data Elements (CDEs) within the UAE data domain.
Own CDEsendtoend including definition documentation lineage quality standards monitoring usage and retirement.
Partner with business data owners data governance and technical teams to review and update CDEs regularly and resolve data quality issues.
Ensure CDEs are embedded within data products and serve as the backbone for trusted analytics reporting TDS and AI use cases.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary liaison betweenUAE business stakeholders data governance and technical delivery teams.
Communicate data product progress dependencies risks and value delivered.
Ensure stakeholder needs are understood prioritized and reflected in data product delivery.
Data Governance Quality & Architecture
Embeddata governance privacy data residency and quality requirements intoall UAE data products.
Collaborate with Data Engineering Cloud Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure scalable compliant data solutions.
Support adoption of enterprise standards for data cataloging quality monitoring and lineage while meeting UAEspecific regulations.
Success Metrics
Delivery of highimpact data products aligned to UAE market priorities.

Improved data quality and governance adherence for Critical Data Elements.
Timely and reliable availability of trusted compliant data for analytics reporting and AI use cases.
Key Qualifications & Skills
Strong understanding ofdata management analytics reporting platforms and AI concepts.
Experience working inAgile environments including backlog management and tools such as Jira.
Ability to translate business and regulatory needs intoclear data product requirements.
Knowledge ofdata governance privacy data residency and data quality principles including CDE concepts.
Experience with data exploration analysis and visualization tools.
Strong communication stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Proven problemsolving and critical thinking abilities.
Experience supporting orparticipatingin training related to data fluency Agile product management or GenAI is a plus.
