They are responsible for filling orders according to the schedule, running the line and working with the lab and cellar team to ensure that all QC parameters are met.\nKey Accountabilities and Focus Areas\nFocus Area 1: Maintain safe, healthy and risk-free working environment\nAdhere to SHP Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) standards in all daily activities.\nParticipate in safety observations, follow established safety processes, and report or escalate identified gaps.\nMaintain 5S standards in the designated work area.\nAlways adhere to safe working practices\nFollow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), risk assessments, and safe work instructions.\nConduct pre-task safety checks before starting equipment or processes\nFocus Area 2: Manufacturing Excellence culture\nConsistently follows Manufacturing Excellence (ME) pillar tools and standardized work processes.\nAdhere to structured shift handover requirements to ensure operational continuity and information accuracy.\nMaintain the Operator Workstation/area concept throughout the shift\nPerform assigned Autonomous Maintenance tasks in accordance with established standards.\nTake responsibility for basic equipment condition, inspection, cleaning, and lubrication activities.\nReport equipment abnormalities and support restoration to basic conditions.\nSupport the continuous improvement culture\nDrive manufacturing excellence pillars on the shopfloor\nFocus Area 3: Operations\nFollow production schedule to ensure orders are met on time and in the proper cooperage\nCIP and sanitize the line according to SOP protocols\nKeep production line area and storage area organized and clean\nMaintain stock of all packaging materials used\nIdentify problems on the line and notify Process Artisan /Process Operator when needed and maintenance as needed\nIdentify and report all the non-conformances\nOther duties as assigned\n\nMinimum Requirements\nGrade 12/ Matric Certificate (Maths & Physics)\nA minimum of 2 years machine operator experience, in an FMCG environment\nTechnical Cources (N4,N5 or N6) will be an added advantage\nExperience in food and beverages packaging line will be added advantage\n\nSkills and Competencies\nAbility to operate and use a PC computer\nAbility to work independently\nAbility to work in teams\nAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in writing\nAbility to complete simple math calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division\nAbility to multitask in a fast paced environment and maintain attention to detail while managing time to meet production goals\nAbility to take initiative, act promptly and be proactive\nSelf-Motivated\nAttention to details\nAbility to interact well in teams\nAbility to work
