install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electrical and electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems.\nEssential Functions:\nDiscusses layout and assembly procedures and problems with Electrical Engineer\nDevelops sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units\nAssembles circuitry, performs terminations or conducts testing according to engineering instructions, technical manuals and knowledge of electronic systems and components\nRecommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance\nSets up standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life cycle tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model\nAdjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance\nWrites technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system’s operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations\nChecks functioning of newly installed equipment in vessels and structures to evaluate system performance under actual operating condition\nRequirements\nMinimum of 5 years of experience as an Electronic Technician\nAbility to read and interpret drawing, schematics and other electrical/electronic technical documentation\nFamiliar with applicable commercial and Government specifications and codes\nComprehensive knowledge at component/system start up, testing, troubleshooting and
