leadership for major shipbuilding and maritime projects.\nEssential Functions:\nResponsible for leading the technical and operational execution of assigned projects.\nDeveloping project requirements, coordinating with engineering resources, and monitoring project scope, schedule, and budget adherence.\nEnsures resolution of design, material, and planning issues, supports improved engineering processes, and liaises with cross-functional departments such as Finance, Production Control, Supply Chain, and Program Management. \nEnsure that all necessary technical reviews and approvals are obtained, and that compliance initiatives are supported across the organization.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in shipyard design, large ship construction, or comparable large-scale engineering projects (e.g., offshore platforms).\nAlternatively, candidates with a High School diploma or GED and eight (8) years of equivalent relevant experience will be considered.\nExperience in identifying design and production work sequence conflicts is required.\nStrong knowledge of shipbuilding specifications (ABS, Mil, API, etc.) is essential.\nProficient in project scheduling and the ability to manage progress against deadlines.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills required.\nFamiliarity with ship production processes, build strategies, and milestone tracking is critical.\nComputer literacy, including proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications, is necessary.\nIn-depth understanding of ship engineering systems required.\nAbility and willingness to work onboard vessels, including climbing ladders and navigating confined spaces, is mandatory.\nWorking knowledge of maritime regulatory authorities (ABS, DNV, NAVSEA, USCG, IMO, etc.) required.\nExperience with high-speed aluminum vessel construction, modular construction methods, and U.S. Navy vessel design is preferred.\nKnowledge of shock design principles is
