For more information about Draper, visit www.draper.com.\nJob Description Summary:\nA Precision Analog/Power Electronics Engineer 1 designs, specifies, develops, and tests analog/ power electronics for a wide array of applications, such as switched-mode power conversion, battery management circuitry, distributed power architectures, wireless power transfer, radiation hardened designs, motor controllers, low noise power conditioning for precision instrumentation, analog front ends, signal conditioning, analog-to-digital conversion, precision feedback systems, and dc/dc conversion. The engineer develops the architecture, designs these circuits, performs simulations, implements the physical layout, verifies and tests designs. They also perform a variety of engineering activities throughout the life cycle to support planning, design, test, deployment, and sustainment.Job Description:\nDuties/Responsibilities\nDesigns new products and develops technical specifications for their production.\n\nAnalyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions and tests hardware conformance to specifications.\n\nCollaborates and communicates with management, internal teams, and development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.\n\nContributes content for technical reports and presentations with appropriate guidance.\n\nIdentifies challenges associated with assigned work and communicates them to project leadership.\n\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\n\nSkills/Abilities\nProficient with schematic capture and printed circuit board layout.\n\nAbility to perform circuit simulation using Spice or other simulation tools.\n\nSystem modeling and analysis experience using MATLAB, Simulink, or other comparable tools.\n\nAbility to prioritize tasks.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\n\nExcellent time management skills.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nEager to learn new technical skills and expand their depth/technical knowledge.\n\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field required.\nExperience\n0-3 years of experience in electrical engineering or related field.\nAdditional Job Description:\nApplicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.\nConnect With Draper for Future Opportunities!
