Troubleshoots and resolves hardware failures, performs installations and repairs, and coordinates replacements. The IT Project Technician coordinates computer moves within the corporate office. Provides top-tier corporate computing systems support. Develops and maintains relationships with vendors, business partners, clients and information services teams. This position requires organizational skills to be successful in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Also, strong customer service skills and a technical background within a dynamic IT environment. He/she must be a well-organized, systematic problem-solver with a proven ability to communicate ideas. Large enterprise IT delivery and familiarity with ITIL standards are required to ensure Draper continues to provide best in class services to our business customers.Job Description:\nDuties/Responsibilities\nTroubleshoot and repair computer equipment and peripherals devices\n\nWork with vendors to facilitate warranty and non-warranty part replacements for computer equipment\n\nCoordination of the procurement and installation of computer-related peripherals\n\nPerform coordination of proactive and preventative maintenance of business systems.\n\nAssist in planning of hardware refreshes and equipment procurement\n\nManage, maintain and purchase computer inventory following company’s procurement and inventory management practices\n\nWork with business partners and customers to manage and facilitate equipment moves\n\nProvide root cause analysis of current issues and work with other department staff to remediate quickly and efficiently\n\nManage relationships with vendors providing products, solutions and/or services to Draper IT needs.\n\nEffectively manage and update work queue through IT Service Management tool\n\nDevelop and maintain overall documentation and Standard Operating Procedures.\n\nSkills/Abilities\nOral and written communication skills.\n\nInterpersonal skills\n\nAbility to meet deadlines.\n\nDetail oriented.\n\nProblem-solving skills.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Operating Systems and applications.\n\nCustomer service skills.\n\nInterpersonal skills.\n\nTechnical expertise.\n\nEducation\nHigh school diploma and industry certifications like CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional are preferred or a degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.\n\nExperience\nA minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.\n\nAdditional Job Description:\nApplicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.\nActive Secret Clearance is required.\nConnect With Draper for Future Opportunities!
