Support the optimisation of logistics performance, and cost-efficiency while maintaining full compliance with import/export regulations and contributing to broader operational goals.\nRole Responsibilities\nCoordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations across multiple regions, working with internal teams, customers, vendors, and transport providers to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.\nRegularly report on key logistics activities to support transparency and budget optimisation.\nUse SAP to manage orders effectively, including creating invoices, generating packing lists, releasing sales orders, and pre-alerting customers with delivery details.\nApply logistics best practices to improve service and efficiency, supporting internal SOPs and company objectives.\nMonitor and coordinate shipments through CMS 3PL logistics hubs, ensuring on-time and in-full deliveries and proactively addressing any service issues or audit findings.\nManage inbound and outbound customs clearance processes, ensuring accurate documentation, tariff classifications, and timely customs submissions in collaboration with brokers and freight partners.\nCollaborate with suppliers to improve vendor compliance, ensuring timely shipments, accurate documentation, and adherence to shipping and packaging requirements.\nPlan logistics activities for major retail customers in line with contractual SLAs, booking requirements, and delivery expectations to ensure service reliability.\nStay informed on freight forwarder capabilities and the current shipping market to recommend optimal solutions for the business.\nIdentify and implement effective solutions to logistics challenges while controlling costs.\nMaintain SAP purchase order ETAs using SHipNT dates for UK and EMEA distribution hubs.\nOptimise freight routes to balance delivery expectations with cost efficiency.\nSelect and coordinate with appropriate freight carriers to consolidate shipments and improve logistics efficiency.\nEnsure full compliance with import/export regulations by collaborating with logistics partners and providing accurate documentation and clearance instructions.\nManage delivery issues, including damage claims, short shipments, and over shipments.\nCoordinate volume planning with vendor managers, sales teams, customer hubs, carriers, and distribution partners.\nProvide essential logistics admin support to warehouse operations (e.g., labels, documents, shipment paperwork).\nMonitor logistics KPIs and performance, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and cost optimisation efforts.\nUnderstand and support the safe movement of Dangerous Goods within the UK and internationally.\nHealth and Safety\nComply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies\nDrive a culture of safety and welfare, and upgrade existing processes to ensure the health and safety of employees\nEnsure safety is paramount at all times to all colleagues and visitors entering the warehouse\nMaintain confidentiality on all matters relating to the company, people and operation\nAdditional Responsibilities\nSkills & Personal Attributes\nSkills & Abilities\nStrong logistics and supply chain experience\nWorking knowledge of import/export regulations and freight documentation.\nExperience in warehouse operations, including goods receipt, picking, packing, and despatch.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, WMS, and SAP systems.\nExperience with writing or following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret logistics data and deliver insights.\nClear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.\nFinancial awareness and understanding of logistics cost impacts.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nAttributes\nHands-on and proactive with a positive, can-do attitude.\nDetail-oriented and organised with a focus on service and accuracy.\nComfortable working independently and collaborating cross-functionally.\nResilient under pressure and able to adapt to shifting priorities.\nOpen to change and continuous improvement with a problem-solving mindset.\nStrong sense of accountability and ownership of tasks.\nKey Traits\nCMS believes that a diverse and inclusive workforce enriches and is integral to the success of our company.
