We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Special Educator to support learners with diverse learning and developmental needs at our Pune Learning Hub.\nRole Overview\nThe Special Educator will work closely with learners, teachers, parents, and the school leadership team to identify individual learning needs and provide personalized academic, behavioural, and developmental support.\nThe ideal candidate should be patient, empathetic, observant, and passionate about helping every learner achieve their potential.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Student Assessment & Support\nIdentify students who require additional learning or developmental support.\nConduct basic academic and learning-needs assessments.\nUnderstand individual strengths, challenges, and learning styles.\nProvide one-on-one and small-group interventions as required.\nMonitor students' academic, behavioural, social, and developmental progress.\n2. Individualized Learning Plans\nDevelop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on student needs.\nSet appropriate short-term and long-term learning goals.\nAdapt teaching methods, classroom activities, and learning materials.\nUse differentiated and multisensory teaching strategies where appropriate.\n3. Classroom & Teacher Collaboration\nWork closely with class teachers to support learners in the mainstream classroom.\nSuggest suitable teaching strategies and classroom accommodations.\nSupport teachers in understanding and addressing individual learner needs.\nHelp create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.\n4. Parent Coordination\nRegularly communicate with parents regarding student progress.\nShare observations, intervention plans, and progress updates.\nProvide practical suggestions to parents for supporting learning at home.\nParticipate in parent meetings when required.\n5. Documentation & Progress Tracking\nMaintain student profiles, assessment records, IEPs, intervention plans, and progress reports.\nTrack student outcomes and modify interventions based on progress.\nMaintain confidentiality of student information.\nPrepare periodic reports for the school leadership team.\n6. Behavioural & Social Development\nSupport students with behavioural, emotional, and social-learning needs.\nImplement positive and appropriate behaviour-support strategies.\nEncourage confidence, independence, communication, and social skills.\nCreate a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment.\nRequired Qualifications\nB.Ed. / Diploma / Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education from a recognized institution.\nRCI certification/registration preferred or required where applicable.\nExperience working with children with learning difficulties, developmental delays, ADHD, ASD, dyslexia, or other special educational needs will be preferred.\nFreshers with strong qualifications and relevant practical exposure may also be considered.\nRequired Skills\nStrong understanding of special education and inclusive learning.\nGood observation and assessment skills.\nAbility to create individualized learning strategies.\nPatience, empathy, and a child-centric approach.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively with teachers and parents.\nGood documentation and reporting skills.\nComfortable using technology and maintaining digital student records.\n Own laptop is mandatory.\nPreferred Experience\nPrior experience in a school, inclusive education setup, special education centre, or learning support environment.\nExperience working with children with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, learning disabilities, or behavioural challenges.\nKnowledge of remedial teaching and differentiated learning
