Candidates should possess a well-rounded knowledge of facility operations to include experience in any of the following areas: building maintenance (electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, welding) material handling equipment, and industrial refrigeration.\n$27 - $31 depending on experience\n\nJoin our talented engineering team that supports all maintenance aspects of our Cold Storage Facility. Our facility maintenance technicians:\nPromote a safe work environment and follow all safety rules and procedures\nPerform routine and preventative maintenance on the building systems\nMonitor building systems and alarms for proper operation. Respond to malfunctions, perform limited trouble-shooting, and initiate service calls or requests for assistance\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history\nManage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools\nCommunicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other departments\nMaintain a clean and organized work environment\nReport any safety hazards or concerns to management promptly\nEnsure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies\nConduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify potential issues\nTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems\nMaintain and repair building structures, including doors, windows, floors, and walls\nAssist with the installation of new equipment and systems as needed\nWORK ENVIORNMENT\nAble to climb up and down ladders, scaffolding, and stairwells\nAble to lift/move heavy objects using carts and hand trucks\nAble to sit, stand, bend and walk for extended periods \nWork varied hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays) depending on operational needs\nAble to work in various environments, including temperature-controlled facilities and outdoor settings\nRequirements\nJob Requirements\n2 years of prior experience as facility maintenance technician \nFamiliarity with building management systems and energy efficiency practices\nKnowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills\nBasic computer skills for data entry and work order management\nAble to read and understand technical manuals and safety instructions\nAble to communicate in English, both oral and written\nAble to interact positively with employees, vendors, and customers\n Able to work independently without direct supervision\nAble to properly operate a wide variety of power tools, motorized pallet-jacks, etc.\nValid CA driver’s license \nPrior mechanical, electrical, plumbing or HVAC experience preferred\nPrior experience in Industrial Refrigeration (ammonia) preferred\nSuccessful applicants must pass a post offer, pre employment drug screening\nBenefits\nBenefits package includes vacation, sick leave, holidays, medical, dental, vision, life/disability and 401k (optional).\nWe are an equal employment opportunity employer.
