Supported by a worldwide network of service engineers and a global supply chain delivering to more than 900 ports, we have a portfolio of products and services including: Water Treatment, Fuel Treatment, Maintenance Cleaners, Welding & Refrigeration, Engineered Systems & Products, Onboard Test Kits, and Analytical Services.\nJob Summary:\nThe key function of the Strategic Sourcing Manager is to provide leadership and strategic direction in a highly collaborative environment, to ensure a world class supplier partner network such that all quality, delivery, cost, innovation, and launch objectives are achieved across raw material, tolling, MRO, warehousing, and freight optimization projects.\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\nManage strategic sourcing in the assigned region in terms of material, products, services, warehouses, and freight\nAchieve cost savings and improve quality and service levels by launching periodic RFI/RFPs and identifying opportunity areas such as product standardization and supplier consolidation\nExecute strategic sourcing projects for assigned categories by implementing sourcing strategies, leading negotiations, selecting suppliers, and overseeing project execution.\nProactively identify improvement opportunities for the assigned category areas and recommend key actions to the appropriate stakeholders\nEnsure that Drew Marine has good supply market understanding and work with the business / function teams to provide input for creating innovative win-win customer and supplier strategies\nEffectively work with functional and business groups as a trusted advisor to ensure continuity of operations, determine desired product/service specifications and projected demand when making recommended action plans \nDevelop and Execute Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) processes including supplier classification, governance, performance management and supplier development\nExhibit solid business and financial acumen, ability to review and attest payments and summarize cost data\nDemonstrate solid understanding of development/ interpretation of technical specifications and their application in an operations environment\nCombine all spend information into yearly plans and long-term forecasts for costs, savings targets, and planned projects\nProvide subject matter expertise and drive use of Procurement best-in-class practices, sourcing methodologies, and standardization of Procurement processes while minimizing supply risk\nLead commodity and sourcing strategy, development, and execution\nOther duties and tasks as assigned\nRequired / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:\n5-7 Years of Procurement experience within a regulated environment focused on cost improvements\nContract Negotiation, Project Management, Category Management, and Business Analysis experience\nExperience in change management and continuous improvement\nDemonstrated ability to conceive and lead transformation initiatives \nProject management and business transformation execution leadership experience\nExcellent strategic thinking, influencing, analytical and communication capabilities\nUnderstanding of manufacturing processes from a chemical standpoint\nPreferred experience in direct materials, tolling and MRO negotiations\nERP experience (JDE experience a plus)\nExcellent analysis and Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)\nInternational sourcing experience preferred\nAbility to multi-task; detail oriented\nEducation/Certifications:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent required; MBA preferred\nPhysical Working Environment:\nThe position works in a climate-controlled office environment and requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
