Software Development Manager

We are hiring an experienced Software Development Manager (SDM) to lead engineering execution for scalable product platforms at Drim. We are looking for a strong engineering leader with a solid product mindset, technical depth, customer-facing capabilities, and proven experience managing high-performing engineering teams.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Engineering Leadership:

• Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams.
• Drive engineering excellence, delivery predictability, and team growth.
• Manage hiring, performance reviews, and career development.
• Build a strong ownership and accountability culture.

Product and Delivery:

• Work closely with Product, Business, QA, and Design teams.
• Own sprint planning, release execution, roadmap delivery, and backlog prioritisation.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Drive Agile execution across teams.

Technical Leadership:

• Guide architecture and design discussions for scalable systems.
• Participate in critical code reviews and technical decision-making.
• Ensure high standards in code quality, performance, security, and reliability.
• Drive engineering best practices and automation.

DevOps and Scalability:

• Work closely with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, Cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes and Docker, Monitoring and observability, and Release automation.
• Improve platform scalability, stability, and operational efficiency.

Customer and Stakeholder Management:

• Interact with customers and leadership teams.
• Handle escalations, technical discussions, and solutioning.
• Provide visibility into engineering execution, risks, and timelines.

Requirements:

• 10 to 15 years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years managing engineering teams.
• Product company experience is mandatory.
• Strong expertise in C++ OR Java, Scalable distributed systems, Microservices architecture, REST APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, and Database design and optimisation.

Leadership Skills:

• Strong people management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to manage multiple teams and releases.
• Product thinking and customer-first mindset.

Nice to Have:

• SaaS/Product platform experience.
• Exposure to AI/GenAI engineering workflows.
• Experience handling enterprise-scale systems.
• Agile/Scrum experience.
