This person is responsible for building and maintaining a culture of high trust and accountability for all team members within the production department.\nThis position follows a standard Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, it supports a 24/7/363 operation, so sometimes additional evening and weekend hours may be required based on operational needs and to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.\nOwnership\nLead safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives to support the KPIs (TRIR, CCPM, OEE, etc.) for the production department\nEnsure that required government and environmental regulations are met\nResponsible for formulation, implementation, inspection, supervision, and control of various management systems of the production department\nPrepare and conduct team meetings as required to achieve proper communication and development of team\nResponsible for coordinating with other department leaders (Safety, QA, Shipping & Receiving Logistics, Maintenance, and Planning) to ensure communication is clear and goals are met\nEvaluate performance against production targets and adjust resource allocation, as needed, to optimize the quality and cost efficiency of operations\nIdentify problems in production process and guide improvement plans, shift scheduling, overtime level, training, etc.\nResponsible for development and execution of the production plan to ensure finished product inventory is available to serve the customer (OTIF)\nEnsures that the production plan also supports the availability of planned downtime to allow for execution of maintenance PMs and projects\nResponsible for maintaining sufficient production supplies inventory to meet the department’s supply needs\nResponsible for the management and analysis of the MES system to support OEE and other production metrics\nWork with the Plant Director to set strategic goals and vision for the plant\nInvest in and is an example of Milo’s Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.\nThe position may have responsibilities related to food safety and quality.\nOther duties as assigned.\nThis position has supervisory responsibilities.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s (B.A.) degree in Business Management, Operations Management, or Engineering preferred; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nMust have the ability to write reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met or that an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch, talk and hear.
