Our products are sold into the homecare, long-term care, retail, and e-commerce channels in more than 100 countries around the world.\n“Leading the World with Innovative Healthcare Solutions that Enhance Lives”\nSummary (Major Purpose of the Role):\nThe Loader is responsible for getting the right product to the right customer on time and damage free by loading customer orders onto carrier trucks and properly documenting each trailer load.\nThe primary product lines you’ll oversee are durable medical goods ranging from canes to wheelchairs, in-home hospital beds and respiratory products. These products are critical to the lives of our customers and you’ll be a part of leading this team in driving best-in-class metrics in Safety, Quality, Service, and of course, our People.\nShift: Monday through Friday 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm Starting Salary: $23.25 plus a $0.75 shift differential.\nMain Activities/Responsibilities:\nAccurately loads trailers with customer orders\nFollow and adhere to daily checklist for trailers and all equipment \nOperates an electric pallet jack or pacer to transport product to load/unload trailers and organize Dock floor\nTransport freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles\nUtilize equipment to properly wrap and secure product to pallets\nRecord numbers of pallets handled or moved, using load manifest sheets to record trailers loaded\nMaintain the accuracy of loading with proper Bill of Ladings (BOL)\nVerify orders are complete prior to shipping\nCommunicate the status of trucks with supervisors and other coordinators\nUse of banding machine to strap pallets to the pallets as needed\nDevelop an attitude and participate in an environment of continuous improvement\nEnsure the compliance of safety norms to include maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area\nOther duties may be assigned\nCompetencies:\nAttention to detail and problem-solving skills\nGood interpersonal and communication skills\nAble to follow verbal and written instructions\nReporting Relationships and Supervision:\nThis position will report to the Distribution Center Supervisor.\nEducation and Experience:\nH. S. Diploma or equivalent\nBasic math skills \nBasic computer skills, e.g. PC, MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel), RF scanners\nAble to use material movement equipment (e.g. pacers, pallet jacks, etc.)\nSAP or Warehouse Management System experience\nYour Physical Demands/Work Environment:\nPhysical activity includes walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching above shoulders and lifting up to 50 lbs.\nPerforms activities in a warehouse environment. The salary range for this role is from $20.93 to $23.25 per year. Actual compensation may vary depending on factors such as the applicant’s experience, specialization, and education, as well as the company’s requirements.
