You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Stakeholders throughout the Honda organization. Your team will test mobile app interactions on both iOS and Android across APIs and through to automotive hardware. You will aid us in leveling up the QA team to ensure the highest quality interactions for Honda drivers.\nWe’re looking for someone who has a strong sense of ownership of product features and quality, is enthusiastic about trying new technologies, and does not hesitate to do whatever it takes to get things done, even if outside your usual responsibility area.\n\nResponsibilities:\nLead, mentor, and manage the quality assurance team and foster their professional growth\n\nDevelop, implement, and manage quality assurance protocols and strategies to ensure quality meets international and internal standards\n\nDrive continuous improvement in QA processes and tooling including resilient automated testing and simulated/mock dependencies\n\nOversee the design, creation, and review process of test cases and ensure they are comprehensive and align with product specifications\n\nCollaborate closely with product development teams to understand and review product specifications and requirements, ensuring QA processes are aligned with objectives\n\nEstablish and maintain communication channels between relevant internal and external stakeholders such as vehicle hardware teams and tier-1 suppliers\n\nThoroughly plan vehicle/hardware tests in coordination with external QA teams to ensure efficient and productive testing sessions\n\nReport directly to the senior management on quality assurance metrics, progress, and team performance\n\nEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements\n\nManage the QA team’s test plans and travel to on-site testing at facilities in Japan, Ohio and Los Angeles.\n\nQualifications:\n7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance\n\n3+ years in a QA management role\n\nDeep understanding of the SDLC\n\nProven track record leading QA teams and managing comprehensive testing strategies for both software and hardware\n\nStrong leadership and excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills\n\nProficiency with testing for mobile applications on Android and iOS\n\nProficiency building and maintaining test automation for mobile applications\n\nAble to understand and analyze technical documentation\n\nAble to understand API specifications and configure standard tooling (Postman, etc) to test against them\n\nExperience planning and developing test strategies to meet project targets\n\nExperience standardizing and improving QA processes\n\nNice to Have:\nProficiency with testing Controller Area Network (CAN), LIN, and Ethernet\n\nExperience with embedded systems testing\n\nCertifications such as ISTQB or an equivalent certificate\n\nAgile experience\n\nBluetooth testing
