You will ensure healthy function while honoring DriveTime’s culture and adhering to our core values. You will develop and inspire the teams at each dealership to work together and continue to find ways to advance business goals.\nIn long, our Assistant Director, Retail Sales is responsible for:\nTranslates company strategies into actionable divisional plans and executes successful delivery.\n\nWorks cross-divisionally to drive execution of specific divisional and company strategies, initiatives, and projects.\n\nIdentifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the organization promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results.\n\nSupports the implementation of company programs, procedures, methods, and practices to promote DriveTime key messages.\n\nChallenges and inspires employees to achieve business results.\n\nEnsures employees adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.\n\nOversees training and development of employees directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.\n\nProvides coaching, direction, and leadership support to employees to achieve department, company, and customer results.\n\nEstablishes and maintains visibility within the department/division/region.\n\nMonitors operational statistics, reports trends, variances, and issues, and takes appropriate action.\n\nManages regional store teams and monitors KPIs that measure regional plan effectiveness and adjustments as necessary.\n\nAttracts, recruits, trains, and develops diverse top talent at all levels that reflects the community, customers, and potential new customers within each region.\n\nAligns with other Regional Directors, to ensure consistency in quality and best practices for the customer and employee experience.\n\nSo What Kind of Folks Are We Looking for?\nMust be able to travel to multiple markets a minimum of 75% of the time.\n\nMust relocate to live in the Southwest markets and close enough to office from a dealership daily.\n\nVerifiable and measurable proven track record of success.\n\nBachelor’s degree with seven+ years of multi-unit management experience and seven+ years with full P&L experience preferred; equivalent education and experience combination will be considered.\n\nDemonstrated results-oriented leadership including the ability to model total development and serve as a steward of DriveTime's mission and values.\n\nFinancial analysis skills sufficient to interpret operating statements and other financial reporting data, manage budgets, and control inventory.\n\nDemonstrated ability to produce desired results by leveraging resources, maintaining tough expense control, managing merchandise effectively, and setting clear expectations.\n\nDemonstrated strong interpersonal and leadership skills including a willingness to consistently provide superior customer service, the ability to react appropriately under pressure, the ability to apply good judgment in ambiguous situations, and demonstrated flexibility/adaptability.\n\nAbility to effectively work in collaboration with others to achieve objectives in a participative management style.\n\nOutstanding verbal, written and technical communication abilities.\n\nSo What About the Perks?
