Working under the direction of Senior Accountants and the Controllers, you will prepare and record journal entries, prepare month-end reconciliations and analysis, and assist in data compilation and validation for special projects and significant accounting models.\nIn long, our Staff Accountants are responsible for:\nPreparing monthly reconciliations and journal entries for items such as cash, fixed assets, payroll, prepaids, general accruals, etc.\n\nCompleting month-end closing responsibilities.\n\nResearching accounting guidance and make recommendations where necessary.\n\nAssisting in preparation and communication of management reports.\n\nSupporting external and internal auditors with quarterly reviews and annual audits.\n\nWork on process improvement, documentation, and control implementation.\n\nInteract with customers by providing monthly reporting, answering inquiries, and helping with special projects.\n\nAssisting in variance analysis on performance to budget and performance to forecasts.\n\nSo, What Kind of Folks Are We Looking for?\nOrganization and time management skills in spades. You’ll be handling multiple projects and deadlines that will require you to prioritize then re-prioritize… then… re-prioritize again.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills - the ability to talk and write with confidence, charisma and competence for a wide variety of audiences.\n\nKiller analytical and reporting abilities. You’ll need the capability to analyze financial data and in return, prepare timely reports on your findings.\n\nDetail-oriented. Okay we know it’s on about every job description - but we really mean it!\n\nThe Specifics.\nBachelor's degree in accounting or finance.\n\n2-3 years’ overall experience in accounting.\n\nWorking Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).\n\nIntermediate Excel skills.\n\nNice to Haves.\nLicensed CPA.\n\nAccounting audit experience.\n\nGeneral Ledger experience.\n\nSo What About the Perks?
