This role is responsible for generating invoices, managing customer accounts, and conducting high-volume outbound communication via phone and SMS to resolve billing matters.\nThe ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, enjoys speaking with customers, and has strong organizational and analytical skills. \nEssential Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following):\nGenerate and send accurate, timely invoices to customers\nManage high-volume outbound calls to collect payments and resolve billing inquiries\nCommunicate with customers via SMS and phone to follow up on outstanding balances\nInvestigate and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and account issues\nMaintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions and account status\nUtilize Google Sheets / Excel to track billing activity, payments, and account performance\nCollaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Claims, and Support teams as needed\nIdentify trends in billing issues and escalate systemic problems\n\nQualifications Required:\nExperience in auto, mobility, rideshare, or fleet-related industries\nFamiliarity with CRM or billing platforms (e.g., Textline, Aircall, Stripe, etc.)\nExperience working with customers in collections or past-due account environments\n1-3+ years of experience in billing, collections, AR, or a similar role\nExperience in high-volume outbound calling environments\nStrong written and verbal communication skills (phone + SMS)\nProficiency in Google Sheets or Excel (comfortable with formulas, filtering, tracking data)\nHighly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively\nComfortable handling difficult conversations and negotiating payment resolutions\nSkills and Abilities:\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Spanish is a plus\nStrong customer-focused approach with empathy and professionalism\nAbility to manage multiple cases, follow-ups, and priorities simultaneously\nStrong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail\nAbility to negotiate payment arrangements and handle sensitive conversations professionally\nProblem-solving skills with the ability to think proactively and propose solutions beyond standard procedures\nComfortable working independently within a team-oriented environment\nAbility to track tasks, deadlines, and follow-ups without direct supervision\nProficiency with email, CRM systems, ticketing tools, spreadsheets, and messaging platforms\n\nWork Environment:\nA typical work environment includes desktop computing work using typical desktop computing equipment (laptop, keyboard, mouse, monitors, desk, chair) in an office environment and/or remote workspace environment.\nPhysical Demands:\nAbility to sit and use typical desktop computing workspace equipment - e.g. mouse, keyboard, monitor, phone - for extended periods of time.\nManual dexterity to operate a typical desktop computing workstation.\nAbility to communicate both verbally and in writing, using virtual meeting and communication tools such as email, Google Meet, and Slack.\nReasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.\nSalary: $6 - $8 per hour; depending on experience.\nEqual Employment Opportunity:\nWhip is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
