As stewards of our company, you will be responsible for awarding every customer with a positive rental experience.\nPositionSummary: DriveWhip is looking for a relentless, resourceful, and results-driven Repossession & Collections Coordinator to keep our rentals on track and protect our assets. This job is for someone who thrives on tracking down hard-to-reach renters, resolving payment issues quickly, and coordinating vehicle recovery when needed. If you’ve worked in repossession or collections, you’ll feel right at home here.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following):\nOwn the late rental pipeline - quickly identify overdue accounts, reach out to renters via phone, SMS, and other means, and secure payment extensions or arrange immediate returns.\nInvestigate and locate hard-to-reach drivers, using creative tactics when necessary.\nCoordinate with on-site staff and tow providers for repossessions as a last resort, ensuring safe and timely retrieval of vehicles.\nKeep track of the whereabouts of late vehicles and disable/re-enable access to vehicles as necessary. \nKeep meticulous records of all communications, payment arrangements, and recovery actions in our system.\nAct as the first line of defense in preventing vehicle abandonment or loss.\nReport risk trends and unresolved cases to management with recommended next steps.\nQualifications Required:\nProven experience in repossession, collections, skip tracing, or asset recovery.\nConfident, assertive communicator with excellent negotiation skills.\nComfortable handling high-stress situations and making quick, sound decisions.\nOrganized and persistent, with a track record of closing tough cases.\nFamiliarity with repossession procedures, vehicle tracking systems, and CRM tools is a plus.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nSkills and Abilities:\n2+ years in repossession, collections, skip tracing, asset recovery, or a similar high-contact, high-accountability role.\nProven history of successfully recovering assets or resolving delinquent accounts.\nHands-on experience working with GPS vehicle tracking systems, license plate recognition tools, or recovery management platforms.\nTrack record of navigating difficult conversations and securing payment or asset return from unresponsive or evasive customers.\nFamiliarity with state-specific repossession laws, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.\nWork Environment:\nTypical work environment includes desktop computing work using typical desktop computing equipment (laptop, keyboard, mouse, monitors, desk, chair) in an office environment and/or remote workspace environment.\nPhysical Demands:\nAbility to sit and use typical desktop computing workspace equipment - e.g. mouse, keyboard, monitor, phone - for extended periods of time.\nManual dexterity to operate a typical desktop computing workstation.\nAbility to communicate both verbally and in writing, using virtual meeting and communication tools such as email, Google Meet, and Slack.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 15 pounds, if required.\nReasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.\nEqual Employment Opportunity:\nWhip is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
