As proud winners of the Culture100 Award, we're recognised not just for our innovation, but for putting our people at the heart of everything we do. Since launching in 2020 as part of the TCC Group, we have been working with major automotive brands like Stellantis, Ford, Volvo, and Volkswagen to deliver seamless digital retail experiences. More recently, we've expanded into vehicle leasing, collaborating with forward-thinking partners such as MHC and Leasys. Our platform supports the entire automotive sales and leasing journey, from vehicle configuration to financing, with real-time integration and omnichannel capabilities that put the customer in control. Our platform handles millions of real-time pricing calculations and inventory updates, integrating deeply with OEM systems, DMS platforms, and finance providers. We're currently focused on the European market, but we're thinking big and have exciting plans for global expansion. In FY25, we generated over £8 million in revenue and we know that our success is all thanks to the brilliant people who make up our team.\nPrimary Purpose & Scope\nAs a Site Reliability Engineer, you will join our platform engineering team with a clear focus on application performance and production reliability. You will live in our observability tooling, Datadog in particular, spotting slow endpoints, error spikes and resource bottlenecks across our multi-tenant automotive SaaS platform, diagnosing them down to the code, and working with the owning teams to get fixes prioritised and delivered. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute, alongside our Senior Platform Engineers, to how we use AI-driven automation, Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations and agentic workflows across the platform.\nRequirements\nPerformance & Observability\nOwn day-to-day use of Datadog across our platform, using APM, distributed tracing, logs and infrastructure metrics to find and prioritise performance issues across storefronts\n\nDiagnose performance problems to root cause in our PHP/Symfony and Node.js services, including slow database queries, N+1 patterns, cache misses, PHP-FPM saturation and memory pressure\n\nBuild and maintain Datadog dashboards, monitors and SLOs as code using Terraform, so every service has meaningful, version-controlled signals\n\nRun a regular performance review with Engineering Managers, tracking the top issues, trends and the impact of fixes over time\n\nReliability & Incident Response\nTurn findings into clear, evidence-backed tickets for the owning team, with traces, metrics and a proposed fix, and follow them through to delivery\n\nMaintain the performance and reliability backlog in Linear, tracking remediation progress with Engineering Managers and escalating unresolved reliability risks\n\nRaise pull requests directly for well-scoped fixes where it is quicker than handing off\n\nRespond to alerts and incidents, using runbooks to restore service efficiently, and contribute to post-incident reviews with clear follow-up actions\n\nOnce you’re up to speed on the platform, join our on-call rota to support production incidents\n\nInfrastructure & Automation\nWork with fellow platform engineers on our Azure and AKS infrastructure, managed with Terraform and deployed via GitOps (ArgoCD)\n\nTune alerting to reduce noise and make sure the right team is paged for the right problem\n\nWrite automation (Python, Bash, or similar) to reduce manual investigation and repetitive operational work\n\nApply a security-conscious mindset to everything you build, including secrets management and least-privilege access for observability tooling\n\nAbout you\nEssential Skills & Experience\nHands-on experience using an APM / observability platform to investigate production performance issues; Datadog strongly preferred, but New Relic or Dynatrace experience transfers well\n\nWorking knowledge of PHP (ideally Symfony and Doctrine), with the ability to read unfamiliar code, profile it and propose fixes\n\nGood understanding of web application performance: database query optimisation, caching strategies, HTTP and CDN behaviour, and runtime tuning\n\nPractical experience with Terraform, ideally including managing monitors or dashboards as code\n\nPractical knowledge of running services on Kubernetes and a major cloud provider (Azure preferred)\n\nSolid scripting skills (Bash, Python or similar) and confident with Git and Linux\n\nAble to communicate findings clearly and persuasively, turning data into actions that other teams understand and commit to\n\nDesirable Skills & Experience\nDatadog certifications or deep experience with Datadog features such as SLOs, Watchdog, Continuous Profiler or Database Monitoring\n\nExperience with Node.js/NestJS services and frontend performance (Core Web Vitals)\n\nExperience defining SLOs, SLIs and error budgets\n\nExperience with AI/ML tooling and patterns, including LLMs, AI-assisted development, or building MCP integrations that connect AI agents to observability tools\n\nExperience supporting microservices architectures in a multi-tenant SaaS environment\n\nFamiliarity with ArgoCD, GitLab CI, Helm or Kustomize\n\nPersonal Attributes\nCurious and persistent: enjoys digging into a slow trace until the real cause is found\n\nData-driven, letting evidence rather than opinion decide priorities\n\nComfortable challenging and following up with other teams, constructively and without needing to be asked\n\nKeen to learn and grow towards owning reliability standards across the engineering organisation\n\nCalm and methodical under pressure during incidents\n\nWe’ll let you know if you’re invited to an interview or not. But, as a small team with a lot of applications to consider, we can’t give individual feedback on each application.","description_format":"text","description_chars":5898,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["E-commerce Platforms","Digital Marketing"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-20T14:11:33Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Skilled Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Skilled Worker","cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-24T06:24:00+00:00","sources":["UK Home Office: register of licensed sponsors (workers)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0}],"liveness":{"score":85,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.847,"p_room":1,"age_days":4,"expected_fill_days":23,"reasons":["conf:1","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-25T05:49:26Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":66891,"is_top_pay":false},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/drivvn-site-reliability-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/drivvn-site-reliability-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-25T10:13:04Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":14703,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-26T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":677076},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=677076"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fdrivvn-site-reliability-engineer"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fdrivvn-site-reliability-engineer"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fdrivvn-site-reliability-engineer"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/drivvn-site-reliability-engineer\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fdrivvn-site-reliability-engineer"}]}
