To achieve this, we are developing a new type of aircraft, one that is remotely-piloted, extremely fuel efficient and can land nearly anywhere. It can transport up to 350 kg over 2,500 km, saving time, cost and co2 emissions. Apart from moving goods, it can serve other critical missions such as civil protection and public safety. This is the kind of technology that can transform whole economies.\nAt first, it didn't sound possible, but we keep proving it is, which is why we've called it “The Black Swan”. It can land on short airstrips, enabling on-demand point-to-point flights and autonomous logistics even to the most remote locations that would otherwise take days to reach over ground or sea.\nWe are starting with domestic air networks in Europe, bringing back to life the multitude of small airfields that are often unused, boosting local infrastructure and economies.\nRequirements\nThe Role\nAs an Avionics Flightline Engineer, you will be a critical part of the maintenance and operation of our cargo drones. The role is essential for ensuring the operational readiness and safety of our cargo drones. The Avionics Flightline Engineer will leverage technical skills, practical experience, and meticulous attention to detail to maintain and support our advanced avionics systems.\nThe Responsibilities:\nPre-Flight and Post-Flight Inspections: Conduct comprehensive pre-flight and post-flight inspections of avionics systems to ensure airworthiness and readiness.\n\nSystem Installation and Maintenance: Install, calibrate, and maintain avionics components such as autopilots, navigation, and communication systems.\n\nTroubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair avionics system malfunctions on the flightline to ensure minimal downtime.\n\nSoftware Updates: Perform software updates and configuration changes to avionics systems as required.\n\nTechnical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to the flight operations team regarding avionics issues.\n\nDocumentation: Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance, repairs, and software updates performed.\n\nCompliance: Ensure all avionics maintenance activities comply with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.\n\nTool and Equipment Management: Manage and maintain tools and equipment used for avionics maintenance and repairs.\n\nSafety Practices: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.\n\nYour Qualifications:\nEducational Background: A degree or equivalent qualification in avionics, electronics, aeronautics, or a related field.\n\nExperience: Demonstrable experience in avionics maintenance, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.\n\nTechnical Knowledge: Proficiency in working with avionics components such as autopilots, navigation, and communication systems.\n\nDigital Interfaces: Knowledge of standard digital interfaces including ARINC429, CAN, RS-232, and RS-485.\n\nProblem-Solving Skills: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex avionics issues.\n\nSoftware Proficiency: Experience with avionics software tools and applications.\n\nCommunication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and documentation of technical work.\n\nAttention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in maintenance and documentation tasks.\n\nPhysical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.\n\nCertifications (Preferred): Relevant certifications in avionics maintenance and repair.\n\nKey Competencies:\nTechnical Expertise: Deep understanding of avionics systems and their maintenance requirements.\n\nAnalytical Skills: Ability to analyze technical problems and implement effective solutions quickly.\n\nTeam Collaboration: Work effectively with other technicians, engineers, and flight operations personnel.\n\nTime Management: Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks to meet operational deadlines.\n\nSafety Consciousness: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment through adherence to safety protocols.\n\nNice to Have:\nAdvanced Certifications: Additional certifications in avionics or related technical fields.\n\nFlightline Experience: Prior experience working on a flightline or in a similar high-paced, high-stakes environment.\n\nRegulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with aviation industry regulations and standards.\n\nWhat We Offer:\nA competitive compensation package for a Series A company.\n\nLots of opportunities for personal and professional growth on a global level.\n\nTons of work, zero office politics -
