We’re hiring a Product Operations Associate to operate robots remotely, analyze data captures, optimize AI-driven workflows, and act as the bridge between operations, product, and engineering.\nThis role is essential for keeping our robots running safely and efficiently on-site, turning captured data into actionable insights, implementing AI workflows, and supporting our remote operations team. We value initiative, curiosity, and people who can translate frontline operational experience into improvements that directly impact product and engineering decisions. Join a team that’s breaking new ground in industrial robotics and AI, and help shape the future of how robots, people and AI work together in real world scenarios. The position is a fixed-term for 3 months, with the possibility of extension.\nWork Environment\nWork Location: Must be based in Auckland, New Zealand and able to work from the Auckland office at least three days per week. This is a full-time role with flexible working hours, but requires strong overlap with standard office hours.\n\nBusiness Travel: Must be able to travel domestically and internationally, with occasional international travel required. May also need to support international customers across U.S. time zones.\n\nAI tooling: Comfortable working with AI tools, including prompt tuning, testing, and evaluating outputs to improve real-world workflows.\n\nResponsibilities\nOperate and monitor robots remotely, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.\n\nAct as the ops team voice in product and engineering discussions, providing real-world feedback and validating new features.\n\nCoordinate a distributed remote ops team: assign tasks, unblock issues, and keep operations running smoothly.\n\nOwn daily planning, task tracking, and documentation across shifts and time zones.\n\nProduce daily summaries and reports on robot performance, metrics, and operational trends.\n\nMaintain operational playbooks and knowledge bases for repeatable, scalable processes.\n\nWork with customers and site teams to resolve daily operational blockers, ensuring robots can operate safely and efficiently.\n\nIdentify gaps between product intent and real-world usage, and turn frontline experience into actionable improvements.\n\nLeverage AI and automation tools to streamline workflows, detect anomalies, and reduce manual effort.\n\nRequirements\nStrong organizational skills: able to manage tasks, shifts, and workflows across distributed or remote teams.\n\nExperience producing reports, metrics, or summaries that clearly communicate operational performance to stakeholders.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills; able to translate technical observations into actionable insights. Can tailor communication for different audiences.\n\nAble to coordinate with cross-functional teams and work directly with customers or site teams to resolve operational blockers.\n\nSelf-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.\n\nDetail-oriented while able to prioritize what matters most; anticipates and mitigates operational risks.\n\nCurious about emerging technology and AI; excited to experiment, iterate, and optimize workflows. Having built web applications or tools is a bonus.\n\nOccasionally lift and position robots and related equipment (typically up to 50 lbs / 23 kg).\n\nComfortable attaching and securing payloads (e.g., 360° cameras) onto robotic platforms.\n\nBasic knowledge of construction projects, including the various phases of construction and the operational workings of a job site\n\nFamiliarity with basic scripting, vibe-coding, dashboards, or workflow automation.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3837,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Flexible schedule"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"New Zealand","iso":"NZ","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Drones & UAVs","Geospatial Analytics","Construction"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-08-25T19:19:01Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":19,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.413,"p_room":0.45,"age_days":52,"expected_fill_days":33,"reasons":["conf:0","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-10-17T05:46:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/dronedeploy-product-operations-associate-nz","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/dronedeploy-product-operations-associate-nz.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-17T08:04:09Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":10923,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-18T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":58536},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=58536"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fdronedeploy-product-operations-associate-nz"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fdronedeploy-product-operations-associate-nz"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fdronedeploy-product-operations-associate-nz"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/dronedeploy-product-operations-associate-nz\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fdronedeploy-product-operations-associate-nz"}]}
