As we scale our operations globally, we're looking for a seasoned Field Service Engineering Team Lead to lead our team of Field Service Engineers (FSEs) across the APAC Region.\nYou will manage a team of Field Service Engineers (including Senior FSEs), support mission-critical deployments, develop best-practice service processes, and act as a key escalation point for customer issues in the field.\nThis role acts as the link between Customer Delivery, Test & Evaluation (T&E), and Technical Operations, ensuring all service activities are effectively planned, resourced, and reported. The role is approximately 70% leadership/operations and 30% hands-on technical support.\nResponsibilities, Duties and Expectations \nLead, mentor, and manage a team of FSEs, including hiring, training, and performance management.\nOversee field deployments, repairs, upgrades, and customer technical support in line with SLAs and project timelines.\nDevelop and maintain instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety procedures, and training programs for field support.\nCollaborate with Operations, Customer Solutions, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure smooth handover from deployment to support.\nProvide leadership for escalated technical issues, customer concerns, and critical field investigations.\nDrive continuous improvement of field support operations, incorporating lessons learned, metrics, and feedback loops.\nMaintain accurate records via service platforms. (e.g. Jira, Salesforce, Oracle).\nSupport to resource deployment for rapid global support.\nAssist with development and delivery of service packages, warranty offerings, and support contract delivery. Represent the FSE function in program reviews, project planning, and customer meetings.\nQualifications, Experience and Skills \nBachelor’s degree in engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or equivalent work experience.\nMinimum 5 years' experience in field service, applications engineering systems integration, or technical support.\nFamiliarity with electronics, RF systems, or embedded devices is desirable.\nAt least 2 years in a people management or team leadership role.\nExcellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills.\nExcellent written communication and technical documentation ability.\nComfortable working in outdoor or operational environments during live trials.\nAbility to travel (including internationally).\nEligible for an Australian NV1 security clearance.\nNote for recruitment agencies: We do not accept unsolicited candidates from external recruiters unless specifically instructed.\nData Privacy\nDroneShield Group Pty Ltd collects and processes personal information for recruitment and hiring purposes.
