This role ensures that all facilities are clean, safe, and presentable for employees and the public. Work includes basic carpentry, landscaping, janitorial duties, minor plumbing, and general repair tasks.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform custodial and general maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and restroom cleaning.\nMow lawns, trim hedges, remove weeds, and maintain landscaping across transit properties.\nConduct inspections of facilities and grounds to identify safety hazards, needed repairs, or areas requiring attention.\nPerform minor repairs to buildings including painting, patching, door adjustments, and furniture assembly.\nClear snow and ice, or other hazards, from walkways and entry points.\nEnsure bus stops, shelters, and terminals are clean, free of debris, and maintained properly.\nRespond to maintenance requests or emergencies as needed during assigned shifts.\nOperate light equipment and tools such as lawn mowers, blowers, pressure washers, and small power tools.\nFollow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.\nSupport special projects, seasonal tasks, and assist other maintenance staff as assigned.\nQualifications:\nEducation & Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nValid driver's license\nAt least one (1) year of experience in general maintenance, custodial work, landscaping, or groundskeeping.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nBasic knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) preferred.\nAbility to use hand tools and power equipment safely.\nAbility to work independently and follow written and oral instructions.\nComfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs., stand or walk for extended periods, and perform physical labor.\nLicenses & Certifications:\nValid driver’s license with good driving record required.\nMust be able to pass a background check and drug screening.\nWork Environment:\nWork is performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, chemicals, and noise.\nSchedule may include weekends, holidays, and early morning/late evening
