Also receives and verifies materials and supplies. Resolves problem shipments as needed.\nProvides counter service to maintenance personnel; issues parts and supplies per authorized work orders.\nIssues parts to maintenance personnel as directed.\nDelivers office supplies and materials to designated departments and personnel.\nCleans and organizes shelves, bins, racks, and all storeroom areas.\nMaintains a clean, orderly, and secure storeroom always.\nEnsures credibility and accuracy of information entered on work orders.\nMaintains the filing system for invoices and purchase orders (POs).\nTypes packing slips and prepares RFMs on materials to be returned or reclaimed. Packs reclamation materials and arranges for pickup as needed.\nReconciles daily and monthly inventory as assigned.\nPerforms cycle counts and physical inventory as assigned.\nFrequently checks email and maintains timely communication with Maintenance personnel.\nInspects and cleans spill buckets monthly in accordance with environmental compliance requirements.\nOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerforms duties of other Stores Clerks as needed.\nAssumes additional responsibilities as directed by management.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or GED required. Candidate must be 18 years of age or older.\nOther:\nMinimum of 1 year of storeroom or inventory-related experience preferred.\nMust be a self-starter with a can-do attitude and able to work independently as well as be a team player.\nMust demonstrate willingness and ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.\nForklift certification preferred.\nMust be able to successfully use a personal computer and accurately enter data into spreadsheets or other inventory programs.\nRequires ability to handle numerous activities at one time and move between tasks. Able to organize tasks in accordance with company and department priorities and complete them efficiently and on time.\nMust be willing to work shift hours and days as assigned.\nMust be willing to comply with MATA's Drug and Alcohol Policy.\nMust always comply with MATA safety protocols.\nRegular and consistent attendance is required.\nEnvironment:\nExtensive sitting is required while using office equipment such as computers and phones. Some standing and walking during a normal workday will also be required, as well as bending, stooping, and crouching.\nFor work performed in inside working conditions, must be able to tolerate changes in building environment such as with or without air conditioning or heating. Must also be able to withstand exposure to varying outdoor weather conditions, dust, engine odors, and extreme noise levels.\nWill be required to occasionally move up to 70 pounds by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.\nClose visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities as well as activities at or within arm's reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing a computer screen, or reading documents and other materials.\nFingering and repetitive motions required for data entry, while picking items up, filing, or operating office equipment.\nAble to express or exchange ideas accurately through oral communication or by phone at an audible volume, and able to differentiate between sounds in the work environment.\nThe above description is intended to describe the general content, identify the essential functions, and set forth the requirements for the performance of this job.
