{"id":2607182,"url":"https://alion.io/job/dropboxusercontent-trolley-maintenance-technician-internal-only","title":"Trolley Maintenance Technician (Internal Only)","company":{"id":184999,"name":"Dropboxusercontent","domain":"dropboxusercontent.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/dropboxusercontent","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Jobvite","truth_index":null},"role":"Field & Service","role_family":"Field & Service","seniority":null,"employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Memphis, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":{"min":22,"max":null,"currency":"USD","period":"hour","gross":null,"usd_annual":44000},"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-15T10:08:22Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-15","last_verified_at":"2026-10-21T09:30:58Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":6,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":6},"description":"Description\nINTERNAL POSTING - OPEN TO CURRENT MATA EMPLOYEES ONLY\nFLSA: Non-Exempt\nJOB TITLE: Trolley Maintenance Technician\nDEPARTMENT: Trolley Maintenance\nREPORTS TO: Trolley Maintenance Foreman\nPAY RATE: $22.71/hour\nJOB FUNCTION:\nThe Trolley Maintenance Technician performs work in servicing and cleaning rail cars and equipment, transit buildings, grounds, and related facilities equipment.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nCleans the interior and exterior of rail cars by washing and steam cleaning using a variety of solvents, soaps, and cleaning chemicals.\nChecks the general condition of rail cars, reports defects, and replaces lighting as needed.\nCouples and uncouples cars and moves rail cars in the yard.\nServices pantographs, wheels, axles, connectors, and other parts of cars.\nOperates and services small trucks, trailers, lawn mowers, lawn edgers, trimmers, and other equipment.\nMaintains shop facilities and grounds, performing all related maintenance.\nOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAssumes additional responsibilities as required.\nCleans and services shop equipment.\nAssists mechanics when needed.\nMakes deliveries and picks up materials using a MATA vehicle.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nOther:\nAbility to operate cleaning and other equipment used in the cleaning of equipment, buildings, and grounds, such as a steam cleaner, buffer, forklift, etc.\nPrevious experience with electrical equipment and electricity is a plus.\nMust have a valid driver's license.\nMust be able to read and understand directions given on work cards and orders; write legibly to complete orders and receive parts and supplies.\nMust be willing to work shift hours and days as assigned.\nEnvironment:\nExtensive walking and standing; lifting a maximum of 50 pounds and lifting parts and materials overhead.\nRequires ability to withstand exposure to uncomfortable weather conditions, dust, engine fumes, toxic chemicals, extreme noise levels, and areas powered by high-voltage electricity.\nMust be able to climb on a ladder or other equipment to heights such as on the roof of buildings at the MATA facility.\nMust be able to crawl or stoop into tight areas and lie horizontally under a vehicle.\nRequires ability to hear directions given and visually perform essential functions for satisfactory job performance.\nThe above description is intended to describe the general content, identify the essential functions, and set forth the requirements for the performance of this job.
