Learn more at www.dropzone.ai.\nAbout the role\nThe Engineering Rapid Development Team owns the design and delivery of core capabilities and improvements that power Dropzone AI’s autonomous investigation platform. This role is pivotal in maintaining and expanding our SOC agents and ensuring the platform is ready to face a wide array of customer environments in an evolving security landscape.\nWhat you'll do\nLead the design and development of platform capabilities and code fixes that enable our AI agents to autonomously investigate and respond to security alerts\nEvolve the investigation logic and pipelines to handle new classes of security alerts, balancing accuracy, performance, and maintainability\nReview and analyze investigations performed by our AI to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement, and then translate those insights into product enhancements\nPartner with GTM and customer success teams to provide input on technical direction, prioritize features, and ensure we’re solving the most impactful problems for defenders\nDrive quality through automated testing, performance monitoring, and secure coding practices\nPeriodically participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation\nBuild into and improve the product by writing investigation flows, building integrations with security tools, and fixing bugs\nCollaborate with customer facing teams,to provide fixes for customer pain points, or security tooling limitations\nRequirements\nProven experience designing, building, and maintaining security-focused software products or large-scale security tooling\nStrong development skills in Python, with the ability to produce clean, maintainable, production-grade code\nProficiency with AI coding tools, and agentic workflows\nFamiliarity working with clients to deliver fixes that balance long term product goals and maintainability\nExpertise integrating with and building on top of security platforms (e.g. SIEMs, SOAR, EDR, cloud security services)\nSolid understanding of modern security operations practices, detection engineering, and common attack techniques and vulnerabilities\nDemonstrated ability to lead end-to-end feature development from sparse problem definitions to thoughtful design, implementation, testing, and deployment\nComfortable making decisions balancing both rapid delivery and long-term maintainability\nEarly-stage startup mindset. Semi-frequent travel to professional office settings and other events locally and nationally; some overnight travel expected.\nCompensation\nIn the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range below, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at Dropzone your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition, all compensation packages include significant above market new hire equity grants because we believe in rewarding long term value creation.
