We're a mission-driven, product-focused company backed by top-tier investors and trusted by the world's leading R&D organizations.\nWe are looking for a Director, Global Events to lead the execution of Drug Hunter’s global event program across in-person, digital, and sponsored experiences. Reporting to the Head of Scientific Growth (Marketing), this senior individual-contributor role will oversee the customer and speaker experience across symposia, mixers, dinners, Flash Talks, scientific conferences, sponsorships, and Sales tabletop events.\nThe Director will partner closely with Sales, Science, and Marketing to ensure events are well executed, support commercial priorities, and deliver a consistently high-quality experience.\nKey Responsibilities\nHosted Events & Customer Experience\nLead end-to-end execution of Drug Hunter-hosted symposia, mixers, and dinners.\nManage the full attendee journey, including registration, communications, vendors, logistics, on-site experience, and organizing follow-up needed.\nPartner with Sales to operationalize invite and attendance strategies while ensuring a high-quality customer experience.\nOwn event budgets, vendor management, and execution against established event plans.\nConferences, Sponsorships & Sales Event Support\nCoordinate Sales and Science team attendance at 40+ scientific conferences annually, including registration, internal coordination, and supporting marketing actions (note no exhibits/booths currently planned).\nManage Drug Hunter sponsorships, including attendance planning, registrations, sponsor deliverables, promotional coordination, and event readiness.\nWork with Sales team admin to support Sales team site visits revolving around events, sponsorships, conferences, etc.\nFlash Talk Digital Series\nOversee logistics for Drug Hunter’s digital Flash Talk series, including speaker coordination, scheduling, communications, and platform readiness.\nEnsure registration, attendance, and follow-up activity are integrated into HubSpot.\nPartner with Sales and Marketing to improve follow-up workflows and the overall attendee experience.\nEvent Operations & SOPs\nMaintain the annual event calendar and ensure key activities, deadlines, and ownership are clearly documented.\nEnsure events and attendee activity are consistently tracked in HubSpot.\nBuild and maintain SOPs, templates, and repeatable processes that support consistent execution across the event portfolio.\nIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and the customer experience.\nRequirements\n10+ years of experience in event management, field marketing, experiential marketing, or a related function.\nDemonstrated experience managing complex in-person and digital event programs.\nExceptional organization, project management, and attention to detail.\nStrong customer-service orientation with a high bar for attendee and speaker experience.\nExperience managing budgets, vendors, sponsorships, and event logistics.\nStrong cross-functional communication skills and ability to partner effectively with Sales and technical or scientific teams.\nExperience with HubSpot or a comparable CRM/marketing automation platform.\nLife sciences, biotech, pharma, or scientific event experience strongly preferred.\nComfortable traveling for Drug Hunter-hosted symposia and mixers (~30% domestic & international)\nBenefits\nDrug Hunter provides industry-leading benefits, including the following:\nCompetitive salary, variable compensation, and equity\nBroad range of medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees and their dependents, including generous coverage for a platinum PPO healthcare plan\nShort-term disability and long-term disability insurance\nCancer and critical illness coverage\nUp to 12 weeks paid parental leave (after 1 yr tenure) and childcare FSA plan\n401(k) + employer match (3-5%)\nHome office set up stipend for fully remote employees\nLearning and development support\nGenerous and flexible vacation and leave policies","description_format":"text","description_chars":4226,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Equity","Home office","Life insurance","Parental leave"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"},{"name":"United Kingdom","iso":"GB","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Biotechnology","Pharmaceuticals","Drug Discovery","Medical AI"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-12T20:41:56Z"}],"liveness":{"score":47,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.628,"p_room":0.75,"age_days":16,"expected_fill_days":21,"reasons":["conf:2","win:late"],"computed_at":"2026-09-24T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/drughunter-director-global-events","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/drughunter-director-global-events.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-24T19:20:36Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
