This is a dynamic role that has a blend of responsibilities, encompassing end-to-end service ownership, development work through strategic projects, and dedicated support to our internal customers. Our support work offers ample opportunities to sharpen your troubleshooting skills but also allows you to collaborate with other engineering teams, informing us of our future project work and other improvements. \nIn this role, you will navigate novel build challenges, refine observability and alerting systems for firm-wide critical services, and build great developer workflows. Your efforts will not only advance our team's delivery capabilities but also enable all engineers at DRW to do their best work. Role requires to be in the London office 3 days per week.\nWhat you will do:\nCollaborate with leaders, trading teams, and developers to act as a force multiplier of the engineering population across the company.\nWork within a US & UK based team with product and technical ownership of services provided by the Developer Experience team, encompassing source control, build artifact repositories, AI-powered development tools, and other tools related to software development and delivery.\nParticipate in a scheduled support rotation during UK business hours to help internal engineering teams get the most out of our developer platforms. This includes diagnosing complex CI workflows, managing central infrastructure in Kubernetes, and ensuring our tools are fully leveraged by internal developers.\nInvestigate and resolve intricate systems or build issues during support rotations, building valuable relationships with other DRW development teams.\nImprove service reliability, performance, and observability of firm-wide critical infrastructure and tooling.\nWork in a hybrid infrastructure environment, cloud and on-prem, using infra-as-code patterns to reliably manage and scale the services we own.\nEducate users on our tools, conduct end-user demonstrations as needed, and maintain high quality self-service documentation.\nAbout You:\nIn addition to having a strong technical background, the following attributes are and Technologies:\nExperience in debugging and triaging complex systems.\nExperience using configuration management tooling, like Terraform to manage infrastructure in a repeatable manner.\nExperience managing highly available Linux systems, both on-prem and in cloud environments.\nExperience in supporting containerized applications using systems like Kubernetes, Docker, FluxCD or ArgoCD, and Helm.\nExperience providing direct support to internal engineers and demonstrating customer empathy as part of a scheduled business hours-only rotation.\nExperience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.\n3-5 years of development experience and proficiency in at least one high-level programming language, such as Go, Python, or Java.\nWhat will make you stand out:\nDemonstrated experience
