DRW is a place of high expectations, integrity, innovation and a willingness to challenge consensus.\nJunior Trade Operations Analyst - North America Power\nThe Role\n Our North America Energy Commercial Operations team is hiring a Junior Trade Analyst in Houston. You will support our US Power, Environmental and Softs trading and origination teams across the full trade lifecycle, from booking and physical scheduling to daily P&L and settlement support. You will work every day with traders, originators, settlements, operations, accounting and engineering, and help build the tools that make those processes faster and more reliable. This is an in-office role; supporting the daily P&L close can extend into the evening on busy days.\nWhat You'll Do\nProduce and review daily and next-day P&L, investigate variances, and explain P&L drivers to traders and management\nBook and maintain financial and physical power, environmental and structured trades in our trading system\nSchedule physical power with ISOs and counterparties and confirm schedules\nSupport environmental products, including auctions and registry accounts, and physical softs operations, including deliveries, storage and invoicing\nSupport FTR trading, auctions, transfers, reconciliations and P&L checks\nPartner with settlements and operations to resolve trade and invoice discrepancies\nTest system changes before release and work with engineering to resolve production issues\nAutomate manual workflows using Python, SQL, APIs and AI tools\nWhat We're Looking For\nBachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field; 0 to 2 years of experience\nStrong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets\nProgramming experience, preferably in Python, and an interest in building tools\nExceptional accuracy and attention to detail, including with sensitive financial data\nAbility to work independently and prioritize requests from many stakeholders\nClear written and verbal communication and a genuine interest in energy markets\nNice to Have\nCoursework or experience in power markets, ISO operations, FTRs or physical power\nExposure to an ETRM system (Endur/OpenLink preferred), SQL or APIs\nFamiliarity with mark-to-market, realized vs. unrealized P&L and the trade lifecycle\nWhat You'll Learn\nHow energy trading works end to end: valuation and risk across OTC, FTR, physical and cross-commodity positions, ISO market operations across North America, and how trading, operations and technology work together at a proprietary trading firm.\nThe annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000 depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
