If you're looking to grow your technical career within an extremely reputable, stable Fortune 500 company - let's talk!\nAs a Senior Software Engineer on our team, you will contribute to programming, project management, and development assignments, focused on backend services on our digital platform.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerform programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision.\nWork directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls.\nWork independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems. \nDrive application development focused on delivering business value. \nMentor and assist software engineers, providing technical assistance and direction as needed.\nMaintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits. \nProactively reach out for help when stuck on an issue after doing reasonable independent research.\nMaintain a sense of urgency when working on tasks and actively follow up on any dependencies or blockers.\nRequirements\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering or related field is required AND \n8+ years’ experience, required\nMaster’s degree with 6+ years’ experience\nREQUIRED SKILLS:\n10+ years of experience in designing and developing software applications in Java. \n Proven experience in some or all of the following:\nDesigning, developing, deploying and maintaining software to scale.\nDeveloping software applications using relational and NoSQL databases.\nApplication architectural patterns, such as MVC, Microservices, Event-driven, etc. \nDeploying software using CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GoCD, etc\nDeploying and maintaining software using public clouds such as AWS or Azure. \nWorking within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum) \nExperience with AI tools is a big PLUS.\nStrong understanding and/or experience in some of the following:\nMessage streaming solutions, such as AWS Kinesis, AWS SQS, AWS SNS, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Apache ActiveMQ. \nExperience designing well-defined Restful APIs \nHands on experience with API tools such as Swagger, Postman and Assertible o Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development. \nHands on experience with testing tools such as Cucumber and Selenium and their integration into CI/CD pipelines. \nDatastores such as AWS Aurora, AWS RDS, AWS DynamoDB, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Cassandra, Redis, MySQL, Oracle. o Other AWS technologies, such as API Gateway, ALB, NLB, Fargate, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, etc \nDebugging and maintaining software in Linux or Unix platforms \nSOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:\nMust demonstrate solid knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals, such as data structures and algorithms. \nAbility to work under pressure and within time constraints \nPassion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment \nDemonstrated leadership on small to medium-scale projects impacting strategic priorities \nBenefits\n401(k)\nDental insurance\nVision Insurance\nDisability insurance\nEmployee assistance program\nHealth insurance\nHealth savings account\nLife insurance\nPaid time off\nPaid Holidays\nPlease follow the link to our website for a list of job openings in Engineering, IT, Project Management, and more!
