Read more at www.dsv.com\nLocation: USA - Iselin, Wood Ave\nDivision: Air & Sea\nJob Posting Title: Analyst, Accounts Payable\nTime Type: Full Time\nThe Accounts Payable Analyst is a key contributor to the North America Shared Services Accounts Payable team, responsible for analyzing AP activity, resolving complex invoice and payment issues, and supporting accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement of AP processes.\nThis position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently research issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions. The AP Analyst works closely with vendors, operations, finance, and other internal stakeholders to resolve complex issues, improve processes, and ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and service level agreements (SLAs).\nThe role also supports AP reporting, trend analysis, reconciliations, audits, process improvement initiatives, and special projects while providing recommendations and insights to AP leadership.\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalyze and resolve complex accounts payable issues involving invoices, payments, vendor accounts, and discrepancies.\nResearch invoice and payment activity in SAP and other systems to determine root causes of outstanding or delayed items and recommend appropriate resolution.\nMonitor and analyze AP aging, past-due activity, payment trends, and other key AP metrics to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.\nReview vendor aging and past-due reports, investigate discrepancies, and ensure invoices are properly recorded and progressing through the payment process.\nPerform complex vendor statement reconciliations and investigate differences between vendor records and company records.\nAnalyze recurring AP issues and exceptions to identify root causes and develop recommendations to improve processes, reduce errors, and increase efficiency.\nPrepare and maintain AP reports and analytical data for management, including identifying trends, exceptions, and areas requiring attention.\nPost, correct, reverse, and reprocess invoices in SAP when required, ensuring transactions are accurate and properly supported.\nResearch and resolve discrepancies involving invoices, payments, account coding, vendor accounts, and other AP-related transactions.\nEscalate complex or high-risk issues to AP leadership with appropriate documentation, analysis, and recommended solutions.\nCollaborate with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Treasury, vendors, and other departments to resolve issues and improve end-to-end processes.\nProvide guidance to internal stakeholders regarding AP processes, invoice requirements, payment status, and resolution of AP-related issues.\nSupport internal and external audits by providing documentation, analysis, reconciliations, and other requested information.\nAssist with monitoring compliance with AP policies, internal controls, and established service level agreements.\nSupport system enhancements, testing, process changes, and other AP-related initiatives.\nDevelop and maintain process documentation and reporting as needed.\nParticipate in special projects and provide analytical support to AP leadership.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.\n3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, accounting, finance, or a related analytical role.\nExperience working in a shared services or high-volume transactional environment preferred.\nExperience with SAP or another major ERP system strongly preferred.\nExperience with financial analysis, reporting, reconciliations, or process improvement preferred.\n\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, investigate root causes, and recommend solutions.\nStrong understanding of Accounts Payable processes, invoice processing, payments, vendor accounts, and reconciliations.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, vendors, and cross-functional teams.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of complex issues through resolution.\nProven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence outcomes without direct authority.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, data analysis, and reporting.\nAbility to analyze large volumes of data and translate findings into meaningful business insights.\nExperience identifying process improvement and automation opportunities.\nStrong understanding of confidentiality, internal controls, and financial data integrity.\nAbility to adapt to changing processes, systems, and business requirements.\nFor this position, the expected base pay range is $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 annually.
