Our vision is to create long-term, sustainable growth and value for our customers, employees, shareholders and society.\nClose to 150,000 employees in over 90 countries work diligently to deliver great customer experiences and high-quality services.\nAs a global leader, our commitment to sustainable business practices is a central element of our overall business strategy.\nVisit dsv.com and follow us on LinkedIn and Facebook.\nLocation: USA - Iselin, Wood Ave\nDivision: Air & Sea\nJob Posting Title: Collections Specialist\nTime Type: Full Time\nCollections Specialist\nDSV North America | Accounts Receivable Department\nDSV Air & Sea, Inc., a global leader in transport and logistics, is seeking a results-oriented Collections Specialist to join the Accounts Receivable team at our US Headquarters in Iselin, NJ (MetroPark area).\nThis vital, in-office position is responsible for managing a multi-million dollar portfolio, ensuring timely payment of outstanding receivables, and resolving complex payment issues to maintain DSV’s strong liquidity and positive customer relationships.\nKey Responsibilities\nThe specialist will execute proactive collection strategies and manage the full cycle of account resolution:\nPortfolio Management: Manage collection requirements for a multi-million dollar portfolio of accounts.\nCustomer Communication: Effectively communicate with customers (verbal and written) to secure the collection of outstanding accounts receivable.\nIssue Resolution: Resolve customer discrepancy claims and nonpayment issues by collaborating with Billing and Sales Administration.\nFinancial Processing: Process credit card transactions, refunds, adjustments, and prepare recommendations for write-offs.\nAccount Service: Provide ongoing customer service, including data submission of invoices, generating statements, and handling special requests.\nReporting: Generate status reports detailing portfolio aging and payments.\nDocumentation: Prepare required documentation for placing accounts with third-party collections agents.\nTeam Support: Support the Credit & Collection Management team with special projects and provide coverage for colleagues as needed.\nMinimum Qualifications\nExperience: A minimum of two years' experience in credit and collections.\nEducation: Bachelors or Associates degree, or equivalent post-high school education/training.\nTechnical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft applications, specifically advanced Excel skills. SAP experience is a strong asset.\nProfessional Skills:\nStrong oral and written communication skills.\nAbility to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.\nRequired to interact professionally with customers and internal departments at all times.\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.\nIndustry: Shipping experience is preferred but not required.\nLocation: This is a full-time, in-office role at our US Headquarters in Iselin, NJ. Remote work is not available.\nFor this position, the expected base pay range is $22.50 - $30.50 .
