The Shuttle Driver is responsible for traveling to and from the plant site delivering items. They are responsible for the operating condition of the equipment they are in contact with, doing regular daily inspections of the equipment.\nYard Driver is responsive to the customer regarding the movement and spotting of trailers to facilitate the needs of the warehouse and plant in sorting and processing material for shipment or storage. The Yard Driver is also responsible for timely movements and thorough knowledge of on-hand equipment inventory. Daily inventory of equipment located in the yard.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nShuttle/Yard Driver:\nResponsible to maintain a neat and orderly storage lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency in servicing the customer needs.\nResponsible for accounting for records involving trailer numbers and position of vehicles.\nMust function and interact on a daily basis with warehouse supervisors and comply with warehouse safety requirements.\nMust communicate using cellular telephone or 2-way radio with operations, and warehouse personnel in a courteous and professional manner.\nMust maneuver trucks into loading and unloading position, following signal from loading crew as needed. Also place safety wheel chocks in front of wheel/tire to prevent the trailer from rolling. If pup trailer movement is involved; extra care must be taken on the placement of the trailer jack stand (when at dock, jack stand must be on the ground and in a locked position). If there is not a jack stand installed on the trailer the customer must be notified.\nProper use of Airline/Electrical hookup/and Backing procedure is a must.\nFollow all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures.\nPerform other job-related duties as assigned.\nOn a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the equipment.\nAssist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and yard\nQuality:\nEnsure inbound and outbound shipments are delivered promptly and without damage.\nDelivery:\nEfficiently delivers equipment and product in a timely manner without damage.\nProper documentation must accompany freight.\nInventory:\nKeep proper documentation of each load to provide to each site.\nSafety, Housekeeping, and Compliance:\nMaintain a clean, neat, orderly work area (truck), and assist in security of the warehouse\nWill comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/ MSDS Standards.\nParticipates in safety meetings.\nEquipment Operation:\nLoad, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, drum attachment, or other power equipment.\nMaintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.\nOn a daily basis, inspect and report any defect for repair.\nOperate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.\nAssociates must maintain an active Class A CDL certification.\nMaintenance:\nPerform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.\nOTHER DUTIES\nFuel trucks on a needed basis.\nPerforms other duties as required\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nNone\nMINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nEducation and/or Experience\nMust have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).\n1 yr. experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.\nClass A CDL and Health Card - Valid and up to date\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations\nClass A CDL and Health Card - Valid and up to date\nSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES\nComputer Skills\nBasic computer skills\nLanguage Skills\nEnglish (reading, writing, verbal)\nMathematical Skills\nBasic to intermediate level to verify and perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.\nOther\nMust have basic reading and writing skills.\nAbility to read and follow manufacturer's instruction manuals.\nAbility to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.\nStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or within a group.\nAbility to adapt to change and work in a fast-pace environment.\nStrong attention to detail accuracy and accomplish job task in a timely manner.\nAbility to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance\nMust be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.\nMust be able to work as assigned outside and in a warehouse environment.\nMust have a clean driving record.\nClass A CDL is required\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n1-2 years experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment\n1-2 years driving experience.\nFor this position, the expected base pay range is - .
