The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle, while meeting company standards of safety, security, and productivity.\nAs part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, quality, and teamwork. Associates are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies and may be required to perform any combination of the following\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nReceiving/Put-Away:\nInput data accurately into WMS.\n\nEfficiently stack and store product in appropriate area.\n\nMaintain an organized work area.\n\nOrder Picking:\nPull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.\n\nPerform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.\n\nPrepare freight for operations accurately and in a timely manner as required.\n\nQuality:\nEnsure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.\n\nReport quality variances.\n\nSupport 4C’s - Customer Satisfaction, Clean and Safe Work Environment, Complete Risk Prevention, Continuous Improvement and 5S initiatives\n\nDelivery:\nEfficiently move product form staging and/or storage to production lines and/or staging docks.\n\nEnsure proper documentation accompanies freight.\n\nInventory:\nKeep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.\n\nAssist in physical inventories.\n\nEnsure proper stock rotation through normal course of daily work.\n\nSafety, Housekeeping, and Compliance:\nMaintain the facility, work area and equipment in a clean, neat, orderly manner, and maintain a safe work environment.\n\nWill comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/ MSDS Standards.\n\nPerform all work in a safe manner\n\nEquipment Operation:\nLoad, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials from elevated racking and varied racking media using a reach forklift or other power equipment.\n\nOn a daily basis, inspect and report issues on the forklift or other equipment.\n\nOperate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods to include daily OSHA safety checklist inspection.\n\nAssociates must maintain an active forklift certification.\n\nAssist with correcting pallets improperly stored at elevation and correcting unsafe / tipped pallets\n\nMaintenance:\nPerform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.\n\nOTHER DUTIES (Site Specific)\nParticipate in physical inventories as assigned.\n\nPerform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as assigned.\n\nChange fuel tanks on forklifts as assigned.\n\nPerform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.\n\nRepair pallets when necessary, trailers, and truck bays as assigned.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nWork overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nNone\n\nMINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nEducation and/or Experience\nMust have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).\n\n6 months experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.\n\nAble to operate stand-up Reach Truck while placing & removing pallets from elevated storage media.\n\nMust be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate\n\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations\nSatisfactory completion of a forklift training program\n\nSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES\nComputer Skills\nBasic computer skills\n\nRF Scanners\n\nWMS functions\n\nLanguage Skills\nEnglish (reading, writing, verbal)\n\nMathematical Skills\nBasic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other\nduties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.\n\nOther\nStrong attention to detail accuracy and accomplish job task in a timely manner.\n\nAbility to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.\n\nMust be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nOccasionally\nHandling/Fingering, Sitting\n\nFrequently\nBending\n\nConstantly\nWalking and Standing\n\nAbility to Lift/Carry and Push/Pull\n21-50 pounds\n\nReach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
