Suite 1100\nDivision: Air & Sea\nJob Posting Title: Health & Safety Assistant - 126959\nTime Type: Full Time\nSummary\nThe Health and Safety Assistant is responsible for assisting the Health and Safety Manager in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of employees and the compliance of the company with relevant safety regulations. They will be responsible for assisting with safety audits, training programs, incident investigations, and safety reporting. The Health and Safety Assistant will work closely with employees and management to promote a safety culture within the company.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nAssist the Health and Safety Manager in developing, implementing and maintaining safety programs, policies, and procedures\nConduct safety audits, inspections and assessments to identify and address safety hazards and risks\nAssist in investigating safety incidents, accidents and near misses, and prepare reports on findings and recommendations\nAssist in the development and delivery of safety training programs to employees\nMaintain safety records and databases, and prepare safety reports for management\nKeep up to date with changes in safety regulations, laws and standards, and communicate these changes to management and employees\nEducational background / Work experience\nBachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health and safety, or a related field\nCompletion of safety certification programs such as OSHA 30-hour General Industry or equivalent\n1-2 years of experience in a safety-related role in the transportation and logistics industry\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nAttention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret data\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nProficient in Microsoft Office and other software applications related to safety\nPreferred Qualifications\nKnowledge of safety regulations, laws and standards specific to the transportation and logistics industry\nExperience working with safety management systems\nLanguage skills\nFluency in English\nComputer Literacy\nProficient in Microsoft Office\nAt Will Employment\nDSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as “at will” employees.
